They made me send back the full figure for my defects and will only be sending the replacement after they get the first back. I'm sure it will have different issues and that I could have cobbled together a full perfect wolverine between the two, but that would have made too much sense. I miss when Sideshow's customer service was second to none. They've really gone down hill lately. :(

I had the same thing happen with a 1:1 predator mask. Second replacement was worse. Not the end of the world. Ice ordered a lot from there nothing is perfect in customer service but they will take care of you in the end. Thier proceeds needs work same with qc

I got Wolverine yesterday and I'm quite happy with what Sideshow did in making this figure. The details are definitely nice. I don't feel bad about wanting to sell my Hot Toys Days of Future Past Wolverine anymore. I don't have most of the QC issues people are reporting. I did see what I thought were paint flaws, but they scratched off with my fingernail. I did accidentally bend a claw while putting the hand on. I got it bent back, but they seem a bit fragile.

I took a few pictures in different poses. I found it hard to get some of the poses I liked out of the non-articulated arms. I couldn't even get him crossing his claws in front with the bent arms. Even though the non-articulated arms look the best, I'm sticking with the articulated arms for my display pose, which is the first picture.

Can you heat the head up and un curve the fin?

Yes you can. I usually dip it in hot water or use a blow dryer and then place it in the freezer. This time I just worked it with my fingers and it seems to be staying in place.

Side note:
I did have to heat up the claws to take them out and reposition them. They were put in slightly crooked. I also don't like that they were too close together.

For the price I ain't complaining. I can tell from the pictures that the material in the yellow sections of the costume in SS's version is of better quality and has layers.

Thanks for the response, Jack. Still undecided. Should I use my $100 in rewards points and get the extra head sculpt and hood for $180 or buy the knock off for $60 and a good body for $30? Decisions decisions ...

I spent my $115 in reward points on this guy and I have no regrets. What does the KO comes with? Because this Wolverine also has 3 sets of arms, 2 sets of non-articulated seamless and 1 set of articulated. You'll also probably have trouble finding a shorter muscular body to match what Sideshow uses. Just food for thought.

If you're not into customizing I would probably buy the SS version. It does come with a lot more accessories. The body looks killer for Wolverine.
My plan is to buy the Phicen 34 seamless body and shorten it. That body is about $80. I do plan to get that maskless head too.

I'm waiting for SS to ship my damn figure that's been sitting in the warehouse since 12/29/16. I can't wait to do some surgery on those shoulders.to improve range of motion. Once Tony Mei's Jim Lee sculpt arrives, he should be in shape.

I got both the SS and the knock off !
I have my knock off on the big butt Arnie TTM and its a beauty ( I cut its legs down to match the height of the SS version )
Yeah look the SS is ..well the SS and you can clearly see the better quality. But, its just the arms I cant get past the lack of articulation
or how they are stuck in that position
I always prefer articulation over aesthetics.
I really like the SS version ( should it had come with better arms ) I would have loved it
but for the here and now my custom is my favourite ( knock off )

We need pics brother. I had the same plan would love to see what that Phicen body looks like.
As far as the arms go on the SS: I like the elbow on the pre-posed arms, but not the joint at the bicep. On the articulated arm I don't like the lip that comes over the elbow joint.

I tried putting the masked head on the TTM-20 body. Unfortunately, the neck is too thick and causes the sculpt to sit way too high. Perhaps with significant modding it might work but that particular body is too expensive nowadays to chop up.

I finally heard back from Sideshow about my sculpts. They're sending me replacements and I'll have to destroy the two I have. First time I'll have to destroy anything, it'll probably be hard to do lol.

Opened my Wolvie over the weekend. No real issued with paint (besides SSCs heavy handed shadowing and weird color for skin tone) but both the right arms have small splits in the material where the bicep meets the shoulder. The arm it came wearing (non-articulated straight right arm) was fine.

I've requested to have them both replaced.

The cut and sew is questionable in the hip/pelvis area, sloppy like their Superman was, the engineering for those arms is a head scratcher, the exclusive has 0 weathering :huh and the two QC issues I mentioned are my issues for this figure. Not worth the full price of admission but if you can discount it in any way, it's a solid buy. I dropped $50 bucks worth of RPs on him.

Other than that, it's a pretty solid figure.

I'm generally happy with the purchase at that price...has nice shelf presence. Too bad about the shoulder/arm design. The body is solid but it could have been major custom bait if the arms were removable at the shoulder and the rest of the articulated arm had standard articulation. Gonna take a lot of dremeling and patching to make those bicep cuts work properly if one were to try to mod it....its a really fubar design.

Ugh. I have one more Flex on this guy and I'm slightly worried that once I receive him he'll either be riddled with defects or be one of the returned one from you guys :lol

Just a thought, but if possible you might want to pay him off early. If you do have defects you can get replacement parts before they run out.
