Thanks Mister Ski and you are SO SO right. I just created my account recently and got onto the marvel collectors scene but it's gripped me in a way I can't fully explain. It's like being a kid all over again and getting to share that bond with others who feel the same way. Needless to say I'm home and proud to call my self a freak. :slap well a collector freak:gah: You know what I mean:wink1: I look forward to continue building my collection and sharing the passion I bring to collecting with all of you. Now if I can just make more money :dunno

(Side note) The Wolverine and Thor bust are going to rock, but you're right in regards to displaying them. Thor I think will go on my kitchen table :yess:

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Maybe you can put him in the passenger seat of your car. That way you'll be able to use the carpool lane.:lol

I have the hulk 1:1 and have the wolverine 1:1 on order

Ya know as much as I love the Hulk, the 1:1 didn't fully geek me out for some reason. That said if I had more money I would totally have jumped on it. Instead I choose to go with Thor, who is personally one of my favorite characters and against what lots have said I think this version of him looks totally kick ass. Not to mention he's as big as my car :thud: Enjoy your 1:1's though and I"m sure I'll get the Hulk in due time

Mister Ski dammit you're a genius. There is no way a cop could deny the awesomeness that is Thor. Not to mention Thor is SO big the cop may think I"m not real compared to the Thor bust. :slap

:welcome1: to the :FREAK: Show, Fborecki! :wave

There are two things you'll run out of in the hobby...room and money! :lol

Thanks Darth...and truth of the matter it's something I plan on enjoying the ride till I get there. I figure when things get real bad i can rent an apartment in a nice part of town dedicated to my statues. :cuckoo:

Madureira and Larroca were badass when it came to drawing the X-Men! :rock :rock

Scott Lobdell was a pretty cool writer. He did a signing at the comic shop I worked for in SoCal, very cool person to talk with. :D

That's awesome! Really cool when the people behind the books are good guys you can just shoot the ____ with.

Wait 'til you start putting them in the bathroom and your significant other has an LSB or 1:1 staring at them while they do their business! :lol

Jim Lee and Stan Lee did a signing at our store also...both gentlemen were funny and great to chat with after the signing was done and the store was closed! :rock

Sergio Aragones and Val Semeiks are extremely fan friendly! The entire store crew went to dinner with both artists when they signed at our store...both great story tellers! Good times...good times. :D :rock

That's funny because my wife always wants to "do it" in my collection room...LOL...SUPER FREAK...:lol I just feel funny in there with all those damn statue staring...LOL

It seems like I am the only person who likes Byrne, Cockrum, and Lee? :dunno

I don't get it because all three of these artists transformed X-Men and led to a resurgence of fan interest comics. Byrne and Lee

As far as all the hate toward Jim Lee, fans in their 30's have the collectible buying power so many companies are going to target that audience. Plus, he is an amazing artist- if you go to SDCC, watch him 'throw' together one of his drawings for the charity auction.

ALL ARE EPIC!

This post is spot on. I would get statues from any of these artist representations. To put Jim Lee down is just silly. :dunno

Nice Man, yeah I consider my girl the ultimate statue, she competes with the ladies in my collection and whats to know shes hotter than them, I cant complain.

that one might be one I pick up on a black friday sale at the end of the year

Yea bro I'm a Thor freak so I'm already in for one...but as opposed to what others think about the style, I think he looks pretty freaking awesome. Especially if you have the PF standing next to him :)
