SSC Superman 1/6th Scale figure

Superman and Batman are defined by the artist drawing them, it's why the characters have changed over the years.

I posted that there was no connection between the two specifically because you tried to add words and a wrong conclusion to my previous post.

I don't follow your logic. I don't know what you are writing about--and no I'm not offended.

That is not true at all though, it's much harder to make a 1:12 mixed media figure look good, because with the slightest imperfection in tailoring they end up looking like MEGOs, plus it's way harder to find textures that don't make them look like dolls, and materials that drape over the figure naturally without puffing up because the figure is smaller.

It's much more impressive considering the ONE12 looks way better than ANY 1/6 TDKReturns Batman I've seen (not counting Elvis' customs ), and IMO it does looks better than the SSC.


Well I like most Batman looks, and I liked the look of the prototype of the SSC one, but sure as hell the Mezco came out looking better than SSC's end product.


What? I was going for total serious accuracy with that statement, in fact, being a bit more precise I'd say it looks over 9000 times better.

Fair enough... and ya, I should have realized the context of the 1000 times better.... my bad.
I agree that it would take a significant amount of research and great tailoring to make a 1/12 outfit look good, but when I look at figures in general (and actually any other collectible - cars, mecha, etc) smaller scales do in fact require less detail. Detail in the face, texture/materials in the outfits, even proportions and articulation is typically less in smaller scales. Granted though, you have to take cost into consideration. These guys are half the size of the 1/6, but a quarter the cost. That's a win-win in my opinion!
I do think that the SSC cape looks better though... drapes better...

no problem, I'm being extremely opinionated I hope no one takes it the wrong way.

Fabric capes are tough on smaller figures, capes on 1/6 scale does look better, but the Mezco one looks good enough and doesn't look funny, that's enough for me.

Look at the Mezco 1/12 figure, right out of the box, crappy posing and even crappy video quality and looks 10000 times better than anything SSC done in this line.

Got mine in today.
I am loving it.
Although it's possible the lens might distort it, it looks great in hand!
A real v shape to the body, and the shoulders are nice and wide, with muscular arms.

The only problem with using the Bats body for him is the neck/collar bone area isn't detailed like Superman. It is quite plain.

You could cut them out and swap them, but then you are just ruining one of the bodies.

Got mine in today. Was Super-worried on how bad he is gonna look. Then I found out that he is actually pretty cool. Agreed that he should be on a slightly bigger body, but the existing one is acceptable. Head is not as big as some pictures showed him. Did some quick snap shot for now.

I saw a Tony Mei mod on FB to reduce the jaw width and to shift up the eyes to look upward a bit. Might do that if I have time...

thanks it was just some unused body suit i had in my parts bin ,something like this one with the neck cut down

and it fills the dc suit up a bit as well
