While the proportions look off, the heads look like they have a very nice skins tone. And while I'm pretty sure he has the separate eye plate, the test of the head looks like a solid piece so it doesn't have an obvious seam around the hair like Drake or the recent clones.

I'm a little disappointed in Supes after that review. I'm still gonna keep my EX ordered though. The boot design is excellent and the blue suit looks better than HT's Reeve suit. I'd have liked to seen a bulkier more comic book style body similar to how they did Batman's.

Looks good, not as good as the prototype we saw at SDCC two years ago, but since they're basing it off the comics, I'm sure there'll be another supes down the road. Hope they make a darkseid as well.

Watching the various reviews on SS 1/6 DC line makes me think these are really only worth $49.99 and not the $199.99 price they're asking for. I'm not crazy about the bodies they use.

Bottom line: They seem really overpriced.

I really liked Batman but Superman leaves a lot to be desired. The head looks off, the body looks too thin and for the price it feels like you're not getting as much as you should be. I'll be passing on this one and looking towards the inevitable offerings past this. I will say this, the proportions will look great on The Flash.

I ended up cancelling this since I already have the Reeve Superman and ordered some extra stuff during recent sales and the I'm not really regretting it after that review. He isn't terrible, but it is just the small things that shouldn't be wrong on a $200 figure. I thought they did a great job with Batman and Superman just doesn't seem quite as well done.

Harley, Catwoman, Joker and especially Batman, all awesome figures. The SS DC line is my favorite line from them so far. They stumbled a bit with Supes though, IMHO.

Gotta agree it just does not look that great in the video. I want to see more though before deciding.

Yea that jawline looks iffy.

The reviewer also has no clue on how to pose and futz his figures, so not sure why he is doing a review.

The proto never looked good to begin with, and the figure in that video looks hideous. Looks like something DC collectibles put out in their 13in line. Glad i decided not to order it.

looks like crap and not worth the price. Why does Sideshow think their Hot Toys charging these prices for their inferior pieces

I still like it , and yes can see some issues
but I will keep the order and am very much looking forward to it hitting down unda !

Everybody said the same thing about the Batman figure and look now. I'm waiting to get it in hand before I pass judgement.

i really dont like the sculpt and body looks really thin. they should stick with PF sculpt with this figure, it will be great one

I can't stand watching those hands during the review

Sorry, but it's my particular style and the way i've done videos for over 7 years. I talk with my hands...it's just the way i am.

Reviewer seems overly benevolent imo.

Or maybe the lighting is just bad.

I don't really understand how bad lighting can cause you to think i'm being too good natured? Could you elaborate on that for me please?

The reviewer also has no clue on how to pose and futz his figures, so not sure why he is doing a review.

I don't have the inclination to make my videos any longer than they already are to sit and futz and pose my figures to be able to showcase them. I leave the posing and such up to the person buying the figures. As i even said in the review though, i'm not a futzer. I don't put my figures into overly dramatic poses. Most sit in museum poses for me. It's how i choose to display them in my personal collection. I"m doing the review because a review isn't solely based on how a figure can be manipulated into looking. I bring up the points i feel are good and bad and hopefully give the viewer a more informed impression of how something is. I go over the articulation and that should be sufficient enough to impress upon someone how a figure can be manipulated in their collections. Sorry if you don't like my review. One thing i will say, is you talk about me as if i'm not here. You shouldn't refer to a person as "he" when he's present, which is the case with me. That's basic good manners. (in all fairness though, you might not have known i was here but still) My name is Paul or you can refer to me as Optibotimus. Hello, it's nice to meet you.

I don't understand how you guys can just decide yourself on a video!

I men's, while I agree with most of the criticism, thin waist and all, I think a video is the worst way to judge a figure, no matter how talented the guy who shoots.

We all agree that a figure is always better in hand when compared to pictures. I've always found it is even more true with a video, where color, focus and resolution all make it worse.

If I were you, I wouldn't be so prompt to cancel. Some of you will regret it!:)

It's Superman so I'm keeping my PO. Anxious to get it in-hand though--hopefully won't be disappointed with him. Love the EX on this and it's crazy that they included 3 head sculpts and 2 capes!

But it really did look good, really good, even the promotional video looked a lot better than this, maybe it's the posing.

You can't tell me this doesn't look good:

Compared to what we ended up getting, I'd buy the proto in a heartbeat, black outline on the chest crest, weird crotch and everything.

I don't really understand how bad lighting can cause you to think i'm being too good natured? Could you elaborate on that for me please?
Sure, 2 separate things:

1.- Lighting doesn't allow the features of the figure to show properly, hence why the figure looks probably worst than it really is, or maybe lighting is good and figure really sucks, I'll know when I get it in hand, if I ever.

2.- There are many many things off with the figure that I would 100% bash, like when you mentioned something about capturing the feeling of a classic Superman, unless you mean "classic" as in old (a la Mego style), then I disagree, that's why I think you're being benevolent or optimistic.

I don't understand why everyone is bashing on Paul and his video. The figure in the review looks just like the figure pictured on Sideshows website if you want to see a figure fully "futsed"(is that a made up word used on here? Idk oh well) then go on Sideshows website (follow the link in the description of Paul's video). If you want a review of a figure that IMHO looks spectacularly and just like the photos, again on sideshows website, then great buy it/keep your order active if not cancel the order or don't place one at all, however, criticizing the reviewer of an item we've literally been talking about and have seen in pictures for months now is just ridiculous. Yes in some angles the head looks funny, yes apparently the cape has weird folding flaps, and ya so the belt doesn't stay high enough big deal overall again imho he's fantastic. If you guys don't like the figure fine that's your opinion and I respect that, however, if you don't like Paul's video and you want to criticize Paul I just don't understand why you think that's ok, because it's just not, it's rude and disrespectful.
Keep up the great videos Paul I personally really liked the video and can't wait to get my EX Superman hopefully soon.

Speaking for myself, not bashing the guy at all, thanks for the review btw, it's a good review and gets the job done, it's informative and showcases the figure. I'm not killing the messenger by any means, just some slight criticisms on one or 2 things on his review, that's valid, right?

The figure so far though, very underwhelmed.
