DEcember? I had January in my notes. Bummer, more Christmas funds eaten into.

With the holiday shipping delays it'll probably be delivered in January. Notices will probably start popping up in a few days.

How come reviewers don't seem to get their hands on the Sideshow Pieces ahead of time like they do for Hot Toys. Seems like Sideshow would be pushing these out early to guys like Optibotimus and Sean Long for review. I usually see reviews up 3 to 4 weeks before Hot Toy product hits. I was hoping to see good review on figure by now.

Spoke with sideshow rep on the phone to apply a 65.00 credit to Superman and I asked if he will be released this month and she said looks most likely January release.

Yeah that stinks on delay. I like this figure alot but have the Christopher Reeve regular and evil hot toys. It's like hard for me pull trigger on this figure cause I feel like I have a definitive classic Superman already with Christopher Reeve Supes. Anybody disagree or feel same way?

I have Both Reeve Superman figures, both Routh, and several Clark Kent and Superman customs i have built myself. I am far from the biggest Superman fan(I think my Brother holds that distinction, lol), but I'll buy most 1/6 versions if they are well done.
For my money, a well done piece is worth having in my collection. Even if it's a fringe piece or not a specific version.
That's why i'll be getting the SS version. It's a nice piece, and different from the kind of thing we usually get.

I have them also plus MOS. I ordered SSC version because I want a Supes that looks more comic book like and kinda like my Meego superman when I was a kid, except a thousand times better lol.

Bugger I was so wanting this for December,
the last 1/6 for the year
Oh well I can wait a little longer ... but I aint happy about it

Nice Pics Username!!!

Like others here, I grew up with Reeves Superman, so in some ways, I agree with that. However, I also grew up reading Superman comics, and still do, and as such (like Batman) I don't want a specific actor/movie representation of Superman to take the top spot on the shelf. What I like about SSC's "interpretations" are that they blend several elements from different artists and different generations. So it's a generic Superman, that for me, hits all the right cues and will be my definitive Superman. As much as I love the Hot Toys Adam West and Burt Ward ('cause I grew up with the '66 reruns), the SSC Batman is also my current definitive Batman for the same reasons.

If you haven't watched it, Optibotimus reviewed him.
It seems like the head wasn't on fully, which I'm hoping because the neck looks really long (but the head falls off easy when he's displaying the articulation, so I think it wasn't on fully). I can see how the trunks/belt might put a few people off, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing. The colors really pop, and the eyes on the headsculpt look just fine to me. Hope to get him before Christmas!!!

I'm very very disappointed, cape problems, the head came out moonfaced makes it look even bigger, the body looks even skinnier, sigh, I was so pumped for this, so so pumped, these are my reactions based on this review.

Reviewer seems overly benevolent imo.

Or maybe the lighting is just bad.

That review was good for me, now I no longer feel the need to buy it right away and I can spend the money I was saving for it on other crap :lol

I'll grab the regular version down the road if the following reviews make him look a bit better.
