I was worried that coming out of the box he would have issues...only worked for about 10 mins so far...looks pretty good!
Yeah, as great as those pics are you can spot the rubbery knees.
Great pics Batty! Looks awesome congrats!
Thanks! Leg problems aside, this really is a nice figure. He and Harley are going to look great together.
There's no way to make them look like they aren't bending...and thanks.
I picked up The Joker from my LCS today, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the figure. Head sculpts are very good, the outfits are outstanding IMHO and it's loaded with accessories that really give you plenty of options for display. Weak point is of course the body, specifically the legs at the knees and ankles...but I found that to be an easy fix. First I tightened up the ankle joints with some super glue, that helped a lot. Then I had to address the knees. I can't really see the need for ratchet points on a sixth scale figure, especially if they are going to be so coarse...but my biggest complaint was how they swiveled on the upper joint where they go into the thigh, that really made it unstable. So I made sure the upper knee joint was clicked all the way forward & dropped some super glue in there to keep them tight...now the knees just bend at the lower joint and they are much tighter overall. The figure has no problem standing on its own. I don't understand why SS doesn't just license/ use HT true type bodies for their DC figures. Oh well. Except for the body I really think SS first DC figure is damn close to HT quality...the paint apps on the face & teeth could be a little more refined. I still have a bit more futzing to do....I want to pad the shoulders to square them up as Maglor suggested and get the lapels to lay a bit more flat.
I snapped off a couple quick pics & I'm going to try & find time this weekend to do a full suite of pics.
