I think in Rambo 5 he should be on the case of missing crystal skulls. Also it should end with him making contact with an alien lifeform. Then at the very end Rambo goes up to space in the mothership to battle emperor Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada. :horror

Hmmmmmmm .................. not bad, not bad kid, I like your style mmmmmmmmmmkay! :lol

Seriously though this idea isn't all that bad! :D

Ive heard alot of jokes about his age, retirement home etc etc...but this is a new one...:lol

I thought number 4 was great and really don't think another is needed. Just something about him finally going back home and possibly finding some peace in his life was the perfect ending. I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

And then escapes the exploding mother ship by juming into a lead fridge and falling to earth.

That is perfect! :duff :rock

Althought the fridge should have deployable wings for re-entry and be titled Ice Box 1.

I don't see a need for it. I loved it and it comes full circle with the first movie, he now has peace in his life. A 5 isn't needed and Rambo 4 didnt light up the box office.

:lecture

I will watch it though

Doesn't seem necessary... but maybe they'll kill him in this one. Not that I want that, but he
did die in the end of the book afterall

I trust Sly. My feeling is, if he takes it forward, then he's fully behind it and believes in the story (I think the days of Rocky 5 are behind him), but I also think he'll back off from the project if the right script doesn't come. Let's not forget, Rambo 4 was on the burner for a long time and it took awhile for the right circumstance to reach him. Sly's got ideas for the character no doubt, but he did so well with RAMBO, I'm sure he won't risk ruining the redemption that film brought by making one that hurts the series.

Agreed. Rocky/Rambo you'd have to imagine mean alot to him more personally than anything else he's done. I too loved the way "Rambo" ended and was shocked to find out how he could or would do another but we'll see I guess.

I'm intrigued.

I can't really see how another Rambo would work BUT...
I would love to see something like Gran Torino.

He now lives in a quite town where people start trouble with locals and he gets invloved even though he knows he shouldn't.
Obviously then they go a bit nutty , kill a few people and good old sly goes RAMBO on there asses !. :rock:lol

Title: Rambo Full Circle :naughty

Well, he WILL die in the next one then. 4 ended perfectly, but of course he wants to do another one now. He will die saving the country or something over the top. Just let Rambo rest Sly. Another film is not needed and probably won't be all that good.

I'm intrigued, but like I said, I'm not concerned that if it moves forward it's going to be a "why?". My only concern is, is his vision of who Rambo is, what we the audience have come to view him as and would this story be a proper progression.

So he's back home in the US. Perhaps the bank will foreclose on his farm and he'll take on Wall Street - Rambo-style!

In a weird way, that makes me think of a good possible plot line.

RAMBO was about him coming to terms with war being in his blood, perhaps chapter 5 could be coming to terms that there is nowhere in the world he can escape from it. He's back home in America, but terrorism lands on our soil and he gets involved, could be something, and if written well, could be an interesting character explorating dealing with the frustration of not being able to get away from war anywhere he goes.
