Agreed!!!! Write up the script Dave and you'll be a millionaire!!!

Bernie Madoff type (played by Michael Douglas) rips off investors for billions including Rambo's dad (mom? sister?) (who owns the farm anyway?). To escape from prosecution he heads to Columbia under the protection of the drug lord scumbag who helped him embezzle the money. Rambo follows - hijinks ensue.

lol...i think Rambo is the right way to end it. i imagine the scene from Major Payne when he's pleading with the general that there has to be someone that still needs some killin

In a weird way, that makes me think of a good possible plot line.

RAMBO was about him coming to terms with war being in his blood, perhaps chapter 5 could be coming to terms that there is nowhere in the world he can escape from it. He's back home in America, but terrorism lands on our soil and he gets involved, could be something, and if written well, could be an interesting character explorating dealing with the frustration of not being able to get away from war anywhere he goes.

These are the 2 confirmed potential plots:

First one is based loosely on a unknown daughter Rambo discovers he had while in Vietnam. After he is informed by his Father of his daughter, Rambo sets out to meet her . When he does , he finds out that Society is her enemy as she is of Mixed race , whiche possible would be Vietnamese or Indian . She is later kidnapped and or Killed ( rumors regarding both exist) that sets the story for John rambo and his desperation to find his daughter and/or venge her death.

2nd Plot follows Rambo settled in back in Arizona. It is not know if it would take place right after Part 4 or Years later but he becomes aware of a Missing child of a) the Family Maid b) Trautmans Grandchild c) one his ex- millitary buddies relatives . He travels to the Mexican Border where there is a ongoing battle with Human trafficking.

The first plot you mention was a alternate script for RAMBO,and he said at first it is possible for use in Rambo 5 but he quickly wrote that off,he thought it wouldnt do any good just making another movie based on the same stuff we have allready seen before.

BTW is there a Rambo fever going on?First my avatar, now yours, then Sean,im not complaining though:lol

Not so much Rambo fever as Rambo and Rocky happening to make a difference for me right now with some stuff.

I seem to recall reading that there was the story line for Rambo 4 set in the US. In that one Rambo has a family and is being terrorised in a small town by white supremists (or insert any random bad guys) etc ..maybe that's being bumped into the next film.

Anyway yeah, I think Rambo vs Die Hard is long over due :)

I remember reading that plotline way back, I thought it was a terrible one, I'm glad the scrapped it.

On the first Rambo trilogy DVD set, Stallone mentioned the idea of Rambo being part of the hunt for Bin Laden or something to that effect.

I just thought of something. It'd be cool, and somewhat fitting, if Rambo 5 found John taking on the Trautman role.

I agree...especially when lifting weights to the rocky 4 soundtrack..boy does that produce the sound of "energy"

That's what I run to during the peak part of my jogs on the treadmill, times perfectly so the music as he fights to get up the mountain matches up to the last few minutes of the hard part of my run before the wind down.

I love the ending to the 4th so I'm not a fan of a 5th helping. Eventually he's going to have to kill the character off if he keeps making them.

i really thought part 4 was the last one. with the throwing the knife to the fire and everything, but then again that was only in the bonus extra...
