As long as it's in a more honorable/heroic manner, that's fine. The First Blood ending can't work anymore because of everything else that's gone on with the character, it'd only work in the context of the FB story.

Who knows, at this point, Sly's tied up with Expendibles, I don't even think he's got a fully fleshed out story, Rambo 5 may never come to be. Half of me hopes it doesn't, half of me is pure Rambo fan and can't get enough of his stories, but 4 was such a great ending, I don't see what else there is to tell.

Stallone's done with Rocky, when RAMBO wrapped, he said in an interview, he's ready to walk away from Rocky now, he's happy with that story and how it's ended now, but he's not ready to stop being Rambo.

Rambo is back in the USA. He will become The Punisher we all crave kicking butt in the the big city. Perhaps a Charles Bronson (Death Wish) were people kill his folks and he is out for revenge.

Indeed he's got his work cut out for him so we'll see what happens. He's totally going for the "First Blood" feel again, being that he's back home again.

I would say part 5 ends out the series the same way it started. He was also originally suppose to die in FB so maybe this will also finally happen in 5.
