I have a long list of unplayed games in my Steam library, I think it might be time to try Dishonored.
Good man, do it!

Dishonored is fine, but it's not Star Wars
It's not a Flash-Gordon-like epic space fantasy, that's for sure. :lol

Not quite sure why you trashing that game so much Python... I enjoyed it.. not expecting much story here.. its battlefront multiplayer.. just having fun in a star wars environment that gets you the right atmosphere and being IN it ..the Graphics are the best I have seen so far of Next Gen...and many Maps haven't even been revealed yet.

Is it enough just to be star wars really? I may have thought so in my younger days, but not any more. I do really hope that they sort out many of the complaints aimed at this game though so that I can buy it...

I'd buy it just for the graphics, the first Star Wars game at this graphical level, it's definitely worth it.

I've wrote all my views previously, won't force them again. Ultimately this isn't a balttlefront game, it's cod with pretty star wars skins. I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy that, but after such a long wait for another BF, you'll have to forgive some of us for being somewhat underwhelmed. My point above was a genuine question, is it enough to just be a star wars game? I guess sales will tell, but would you guys really enjoy this if it weren't star wars themed? Or are the nerds in us looking past the issues? Who knows, maybe they will add some things to turn this one around down the line, I really hope they do...

For me and I know some will definitely not agree, I love Battlefield mp. Its the one game I never get bored of so for this to be anything like that with Star wars thrown in is super good for me. I hope it leans more towards Battlefield and not BF hardline with closer quarter maps ala cod.

Yea the spawn campers didnt make the game fun but I did have a few matches where the gameplay was pretty balanced, holding an area sniping then moving forward for closer gun battles. I hope we get to play as Chewie, han, boba ....

Dice usually deliver especially with multiplayer and they have invested a lot of time and effort in this. Hoping for big things.

This is the reason there are so few demos for games.
Demos are pointless when you can use false advertising to gain a huge amount of preorders. :dunno

Dice have invested a lot of time and effort in this.
Electronic Arts got exclusive rights to Star Wars games in May 2013.
Little to none content was announced so far, it's pretty obvious that DICE spent their time mostly on visuals.

Free Radical was working on Battlefront III from 2006 to 2008, it was almost done before LucasArts shut it down.
It was a much bigger project and certainly could've been a great game.

It seems most of the negative feedback here is based on the limited amount of content in the demo, without noting that the full game has a lot more content than what's in the demo.

Except it didn't work, they developed it on PC and once they had to get the networking and console support working it couldn't handle it.

I'm sure everybody is aware that the demo was only a limited portion of the full game. Although I can't see a few more game modes and weapons really transforming it too much for those who weren't impressed with the demo. I would suggest that most of the criticism is split into two categories. Firstly, those like me who adored the original games and expected the same kind of format, and are clearly sorely disappointed as this is nothing like them at all really. And secondly, those who don't mind the fundamental changes so much (the shift towards a cod type game) But feel it is way to simplified and childish almost to the extent that it may become repetitive quite quickly. And both groups probably feel the base game is simply bait for DLC given the cut factions and content that the older games had. I actually think the gameplay was fun if you try to put aside the unbalanced nature and terrible spawns. But I'm not sure it would hold my attention too long.

Also, Free Radical beg to differ, they say it was almost done and plenty of footage was leaked of it running. I really do miss that company. Timesplitters 2 is one of my very favorite games ever made.

How was the BETA test? I don't own a PS4 but I was considering purchasing the limited edition Vader version w/ this game as I was a fan of the PS2 sequel back in the day. There aren't any reviews yet and it releases soon so I was curious to hear how people's reactions have been to the BETA.

There are lots of beta reviews on youtube, just be careful of the guys who are sponsored by EA through the RONKU program. It's sad to see this kind of thing and sure enough, very little criticism from them, it's like Hardline all over again.

As with anything, opinions are mixed, this one seems to have a 50-50 reaction at best.

I didnt try it but can you lay on the floor in this? Slipped my mind during the beta but I loved sniping while laying down.
