Lucas is more than likely not aware of the rumor and if he is he 100% does not care either way.
Lucas is not active on social media or holding daily press conferences...why would he feel the need to ?come out? and address every rumor that abounds?
The guy has not even publicly shared an opinion on the ST in spite of there being tons of rumors about his feelings about it.
He simply does not care and has moved on to a new chapter in his life...kind of the reason that he sold Lucasfilm to begin with...

Didn?t he suggest that the sale of Star Wars to Disney was like selling his children to white slavers ... I think he still cares about Star Wars. He also sold Star Wars together with his outlines to the ST on the understanding that these would be used for the Disney ST and Bob Iger pretty much admitted in his book that he and KK allowed Lucas to believe that to smooth through the sale. Iger also confirmed that George felt betrayed when his outlines weren?t used. I can?t recall if Iger said this, but it is known that Lucas did not like TFA because it didn?t bring anything new.

I would also bet that he is contractually obliged not to say anything negative about Disney Wars publicly for a number of years after the sale as it would affect the value of LucasFilm.

He was eager to come down to the set for Rogue One and the Mandalorian, not something you would do if you had washed your hands of the whole thing.

Oh he still cares.

Again that all makes sense As a han fan And not a huge luke fan. THe one thing i will say about luke being not relatable in jedi is that neither was quigon jin in phatom menace, but he was also the best thing about phantom menace along with maul. He was very much like luke in jedi. No nonsense, stoic but still cared about things beyond the jedi rules, in lukes case turing his father in qui gons case trying to save smi too and wanting to both save and train the boy when other jedi did not. Isnt t that why disney as retconing quigon as a skywalker like rey in terms of philosophy. Luke in jedi is the way i imagined Jedi to be to be once they become master, honestly there was nothing boring about it for me

Interesting.. I found Qui Gon relatable.. He was a bit of a rebel and a teacher.



Again I didnt dislike Luke in ROTJ.. I just prefer him in the other films and found him to be a bit dull. But much of that has to do with the films themselves also.

Luke was a rebel too he rejected the old ways just like quigon and luke would have been a teacher had rj not ****ed him up. Both luke an quigon believed in the the living force as their guide more then established jedi rules. The duel is called the battle of the fates because it literally determined the fate of anakin skywalker. Had quigon not died anakin would never have become vader, because he would have had the proper figure guiding him, thats why luke failing with ben, especially in the manner it went down (rasing his lightsaber to kill him in his sleep) is complete horse**** because it compeltely destroys his character all that he had learned and the message lucas was trying to send in the ot and pt.

No he sold lucas films because of the rabid hate he got from star wars fans due to the pt it was no longer fun for him cause it hurt him deeply. Its not cause he really wanted too be done with it, he felt it would be in better hands but it wasnt now people look at the pt differently and disney mainly kk is the new emperor evil guy that destroyed star wars he has a chance to be its savior again and wants to come back whats wrong with that. Or maybe i should say why is that so hard to believe? He wont need to worry about running the whole company and can focus on what he wants to do and does best

Of course he cares about Star Wars. I didn?t say that he didn?t. Star Wars...has been his life for longer than I have been alive...
What he obviously DOES NOT care about is every nonsensical internet rumor that is published about Star Wars.

George is literally on the same path as Anakin Skywalker was.

He is seen as this innocent hero in the OT (TPM Anakin)

He is this darker hero, with many questions about him in the PT (AOTC/ROTS Anakin).

He betrayed everyone and sold out, turned to the Dark Disney Side (End of ROTS Anakin).

He sat back and watched Disney destroy the franchise as Vader sat back and watched Palpatine destroy the galaxy (ANH/ESB Vader).

He realizes the damage he has done and is seeing the light yet again. Knows that he is The Chosen One (ROTJ Vader).

He then overthrows the evil Emperor KK, just as Vader overthrows Palpatine, both sacrificing themselves for the greater good, using the rest of their lives to save the franchise/galaxy (ROTJ Vader).

He saves the franchise for his son, A New Hope for the franchise, Dave Filoni, just as Vader saved his son, and A New Hope for the galaxy, Luke.



Save us George.

I don't think there is much chance George grabs the big seat. Favreau would be a better choice to be in charge at this point anyway.

Maybe George could be a consultant whispering into Filoni's ear who could then pass the information on to Favreau. I think this would be best case scenario for Star Wars at this point. Personally I want Favreau to have complete control, final say on everything.

I fully understand where you coming from and why you think this probably wont happen maybe it wont but i fully believe george would have already killed it. Its not like he lives on the death star sure he is not active on social media but he is fully aware of this. Its impossible for him not to of heard about it, df is still good friends with him, he would have told him. Dont lose hope, i can fully see why he would come back its his chance at redemption just like Anakin. It would be a fitting end to his legacy
