Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I just turned 47 today actually..

Happy belated birthday :fest

Yeah I'm coming up on 44. I heard that once a person hits 46 their taste in film gets a bit screwy (hence your appreciation for RO and then nothing good after that.) ;)

Awesome!!
42 is midlife crises and everything gets screwed up.. You think films are edgy and intelligent when they are not because you are trying to recapture your youth. You come out of it around 46 years of age.. ;) :)

Hey!! What's with all this 46 hooplah???? .... :nono

I just turned 46 in January.... I still think most things suck, guess i'm a late bloomer. :(

No problem with RO's first two acts. Loved the intros, loved Jedha, loved Eadu.

So Saw FTW. :D

Maybe weak was too harsh of a term but nonetheless RO does have some character hiccups mostly on the rebellion side of things that thankfully is rescued by that amazing 3rd act.

:lol

I missed the seminar list! Flattered to be included.

I forgot Xipo and Pixle :slap

Oh well next time.

There is always a next time just a few pages away lol

Agreed.. No issues with first two acts.. Hell first two acts have two great actions scenes.. Love all of RO

Nope RO has problems just like TLJ does. Only 2 perfect SW movies came out in 77/80 you know this to be true.

I assume I am a bit older then most here. Def older then Jye, Khev, and probably Junkion.. Thus I am Wiser and without question I know what makes a quality SW film more then they do.. So they need to respect their elder and just agree with me.
:lol

Nope i’m older i’m in my 50’s.

Awesome lol
:rotfl

I heard the Star Wars theme blare when I saw that title card.

Me 2 and 3.

im saving this in case jye reports it :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

:lol:lol

10 years here I have NEVER reported a single person!

Go ask the bosses they’ll confirm it.

I might lose my temper here and there but i’m no tattle tale I don’t need anyone to fight my fights.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I think i’ve must’ve said at least 100 times that every SW movie since 1983 has problems some worst than others obviously but you ****ers are too stubborn to listen lol

I not once ever said TLJ was perfect!

I have only 4 problems with TLJ:

1. Not a fan of anything inside the casino scene too much like the PT but it goes by really fast.

2. Phasma is lame.

3. Holdo sacrifice should’ve been Ackbar’s because Holdo whooo.

4. Broom boy ending for a SW movie is lame wish upon a star crap.

But that’s it!

I initially had 5, I felt Finn should’ve died but once I understood the greater themes I accept his outcome now.

Certainly nothing that pertains to Luke, Kylo, Rey or Leia.

Now let me go hang out with my forum hero Khev lol

I watched "the Director and The Jedi" last night. Hamill really really doesn't like Rian. In fact all of the actors seemed very cold towards him, even though he seems to be constantly trying to have 'intimate' moments with them.
Daisy Ridley actually looked away and then walked away from him as he was trying to 'open up' to her. The scene with Hamill and Rian checking out the island set - my god! both of their faces. So uncomfortable - great viewing.

The 'off camera' moment where he sat down next to Hamill and whispered about the title of the movie was hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Firstly Hamill couldn't give two ****s about the big disclosure - but being the consumate professional he played along, secondly Rian telling Hamill - "don't tell Marilou" Ha Ha!!!
This man has been Luke Skywalker his entire life - and Rian is so removed from reality to think that his wife would even give two ****s. And I presume he may have read the script at this stage - where the title has already been spoken.

I thought Johnson came across very badly - even though the whole thing was a well planned pro-Johnson piece.
He is a creepy little guy.

As if behind the scene drama only exists in TLJ.

ALL movies have production drama, fall outs and hatred as in literally every movie ever made.

Meh you focus on irrelevant stuff just to hate TLJ more lol

I care about the final product Rory focus on the final product please. :lol

I thought the doc was more fun than the movie TBH.
If Hamill doesn't like Rian - YOU shouldn't like Rian.
Get with the Skywalker program Jye.
:lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

It was a good doc wth all that melancholy music just to rub it in for the haters lol

But nothing beats the TPM doc with all of the shocked faces surrounding Lucas after watching the movie lol
