:lol

Awesome!!

:lol :lol

42 is midlife crises and everything gets screwed up.. You think films are edgy and intelligent when they are not because you are trying to recapture your youth. You come out of it around 46 years of age.. ;) :)

Ha! I’m 43 but I had my midlife crisis at 39 to get it out of the way. Now it’s just good movies and garden-variety nervous breakdowns! :duff

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Jye.. Just making sure you saw this... Have to after the Lucas apologist comment was thrown around :lol

Sorry JAWS I simply can’t accept forgiveness for the PT with simultaneous hatred for the ST.

Look I had to rate the SW films.. I cant help that they seem closer together then they really are
:lol

Perhaps this will help.

1. SW - 5 out of 5
2, ESB - 5 out of 5
3. RO - 4 out of 5
4. ROTJ - 3.5 out of 5

5. TPM - 2.5 out of 5
6. ROTS - 2 out of 5
7. TFA - 1.5 out of 5

8.AOTC - 1out of 5
9. TLJ - 1 out of 5

That just screams blind forgiveness because it’s Lucas.

I was ready to say pro Lucas anti Kennedy but you like RO

It has nothing to do with Lucas.. I can admit that the PT are not very good movies.. But neither are the ST... Both are bad but for very different reasons IMO.

ST have nothing that stands out in them. I can point to some cool action pieces and ideas in the PT but admittedly those cool moment are over shadowed by the bad dialogue and wooden acting.. But I like many of the ideas and the film just feel more like SW to me.. Flawed SW but SW nonetheless.

Both ST are better made films but are just not as interesting to me and nothing stands out in those films..

I have put all other SW films in my VD/VHS/DVD/BR over the years and would watch my fav moments from the films.. I still do it.. Sometimes I don't have the time or energy to watch ESB but I will watch Hoth battle or Saber Duel... I have done that with PT and RO also.

There is nothing.. Absolutely nothing that is worth my time with the ST to go and find and watch... Nothing stands out.. No cool action set pieces.. No Hoth Battle, Asteroid chase, rescue of the princess, Duel of the Fates, Ass Kicking Vader etc.. Nothing. Not as full scenes anyways.. Holdo Suicide is cool but not really worth putting in the disc for.

They completely lack imagination IMO... They completely lack being... SW
:(

That is my issue anyways..

I don't care who makes SW... Just make good SW and I will be happy... RO is a perfect example
:)

The former are not even movies they’re cartoons.

C’mon that just doesn’t compute.

Go back and look at my post from a few years ago about the PT.. I hated on them plenty.. The "Everything Great About" videos on YouTube made me a bit more forgiving and the ST made me appreciate them more.. They are not good films.. But they are better SW films then ST and it should not even be close since ST has original 3 in them.. Perhaps I feel that way because I was just a little younger when I saw the PT.. So they have had time to settle in and feel like SW.. I don't know.. All I know is.. I don't really enjoy anything about the ST.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I assume I am a bit older then most here. Def older then Jye, Khev, and probably Junkion.. Thus I am Wiser and without question I know what makes a quality SW film more then they do.. So they need to respect their elder and just agree with me.
:lol

Happy Birthday Old man....

You got me by about 6 months...

Honest question..
Did you like Rose in TLJ Jye, both as a character and as an actor?

I do because I can look past the frumpy female asian aesthetics that drives your spazz’s and snikt’s of the world into frothing madness.

Could’ve she been fleshed out better and given a more solid purpose and foundation of course she could’ve but so could’ve many of the RO resistance side characters and no one is complaining about them.

After losing her sister she had no tolerance for weakness going as far as doing a citizens arrest on a resistance hero that she was in awe being in his presence at first until she discovered what he was up to.

DJ’s betrayal certainly had an impact on her as did having a near death execution experience evident by how she learned to honor her sister’s death for the resistance in a different manner which was by saving Finn instead of letting him go out like her sister did.

All of the themes on heroics, selflessness, sacrifice, selfishness and failures connected all of the character arcs into one grand theme of survival for the right reasons.

Again she wasn’t perfect but for a connective side character good enough.

Regarding her acting, zero problems.

Could've fooled me.

Don’t be so harsh on yourself lol

Revenge of the sith will forever **** on these new Star Wars movies.

The existence of TLJ is like having an infected wisdom tooth that needs to be pulled out.

A TLJ partisan gets absolutely eviscerated by Wolf and Mauler. They point out several major plot holes and the defender has no answer that makes any sense. Particularly, why didn't Hux shoot at the Raddus with the Resistance leaders on board instead of the abandoned base? During the space chase, why didn't they send a Star Destroyer to lightspeed a mile ahead of the Raddus to cut them off? Leia Poppins. The Jake Skywalker issue.

The apolagist almost starts crying. In the end, he concedes to all their points but says he doesn't care because it's Star Wars.

The Raddus weighing less than a Star Destroyer shouldn't have been a factor in it being a faster ship. Not even the Millennium Falcon could outrun a Star Destroyer.

Revenge of the sith will forever **** on these new Star Wars movies.
That's not the best comparison considering the fact that even The Holiday Special is more fun to watch than Disney Wars movies. :monkey3

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Oh look another hater needing Star Wars to be explained like it’s Star Trek.

Yeah like the “Why didn’t they just” hasn’t already been mentioned millions of times on how it could so easily be applied to the OT numerous times just by Khev alone lol

Oh look more Hamill disgruntled videos what a shocker :lol

Sorry Vault but weak stale and boring.

NASA should write a scientific book on laser trajectory in the SW universe for you to clear things up lol

I kinda want a t-shirt with a confused looking Hamill face, mouth open, with a Youtube play button.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Junkion is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to lol

I hated Rose like everyone else hated Rose.

But I'll be honest, cause I like you guys.

If I were out in a club, and a drunk Kelly Marie Tran came up and started grinding on me....I'd hit it. Yes, I would.

Well, not if she we wearing her dirty coveralls and that ridiculous hairdo.

Well. Yeah. I'd still hit it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Every time grown men start to talk like horny teenagers in threads about kids movies...
You know, nevermind. It happens way too often and is hilarious to watch every single time! :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Surely I can't be the first to suggest I'd like to enjoy being the meat in a Tico Sister Sandwich.
