I don't think we want any Freaks exposing themselves. :monkey3 [emoji14]

What? So he’s saying he didn’t want to pander to the fan base and make a film everyone expected?

What wrong with that?

Jeez , TFA : everyone complains it’s a rip off of ANH

TLJ: it’s not SW enough.

I understand what he wanted was a controversial film, that took chances which might get people talking , not a safe film that checks off some boxes and makes fans feel safe that no one is messing with “Muh Sta Was”.

He will never live down his attempt at making something different...surprised some crazy SW fan who can’t let it go hasn’t taken a shot at him.....

He may have underestimated the lunacy of many in the fan base.

There's a right way and a wrong way of doing something different. This new series just doesn't do anything right. You build up things and they go unanswered. You want characters to be challenged but they pull through in every possible way and don't seem to lose anything. You bring back old characters and just sort of waste them. People expected more and it just fell flat. The characters aren't intersting and the story is poor.

Doing something new would be making it not about the empire vs the rebels yet again. Say what the hell you want about the PT but they have memorable aspects to them especially ROTS.
Funny how the PT was slammed but HOT toys Anakin Skywalker is sold out almost everywhere while the new characters are still instock on bbts.:lol

Seems like when it comes to star wars a film series has to be worse to appreciate the other.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Pop stars sell out shows doesn't mean there music is that great. Just means they have a dedicated fanbase who will eat anything they throw at them.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

this is the doll forum so i was just sticking to the figures sales..make more sense though :)

People were saying Sequels are great..ok..then why TFA stuffs still all over places (check sideshowtoy, BBTS, Timewalker.....). And lets see how TLJ figures doing after 1 year from now

People hated the PTs but Anakin sales seem doing pretty well. Lets just wait and see how Obiwan ROTS going to perform, and maybe Count Dooku if he ever got released...same 1 year from now

As I said numbers never lie...everybody has their own opinions, but if we want to evaluate the product to see how well it recieved by the market - statistical anlysis is the way to go...and of course we're talking about toys sales - that somehow if not the most accurate way to to measure Star Wars movies ?

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

True. The PT toys and some of the OT figures are sold out while the new figures are all over. TFA toys are still around and TLJ are still up for preorder. I'm pretty sure obiwan is gonna sell welll

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Anecdotal but I was just in a local Walmart and somewhat surprised to see that the SW section was replaced w/ Jurassic toys and the handful of Solo figures and leftover TLJ stuff was stuck in a corner that you could easily miss. Rampage toys had a bigger presence.

Is it over, guys!? :lol :panic:
