Okay reading that again it just has to be fake.
Snap let out a "four-alarm fart that lasted longer than the ceremony itself had thus far?" So how long was that? 10 minutes? 20? And people patiently just sat there listening to it (including his bride) for 5 minutes...then 10...then however much longer before finally bursting into laughter and farting themselves?
Who the hell would even think that up as a joke?
I'm not sure if it's real or an edit, considering the following is from an official book.

So this is how the fandom dies...with a thunderous fart to the face.
I spoke to KK on Skype and she confirmed it was real -- they hired Spazz and Snikt on their writing team so deal with it.
Now, where are my 40 minute videos from Vault Boy on this matter?

Ah, yes . . . the prequels were ahead of their time, it seems. And there's no better illustration for what I felt George Lucas was doing to me as I watched Phantom Menace (especially the extended version).
Lucas was the Eopie, and I was Jar-Jar.
At least the newer bizarre fart content has been limited to books that barely anyone will ever read. Back in 1999, it was actually on screen! The stench still lingers 19 years later.
