So you are thinking it’s a history of the Skywalker clan ..that would be fascinating..but why wait to the last film to go back in time

Could be as simple as Palps confirming he created Anakin, thus setting off the rise. That revelation in itself could be the pivotal part of the film - giving rise to the “Skywalker” inside Kylo to defeat the “Vader”?

If they truly want to bring the complete saga to an end they need to address Anakin’s origins.

(But then again, if Rey is the central character maybe the rise needs to be about her?)

All kidding aside I would easily put down $100 that Ford is in IX.

Maybe he filmed his scenes in 2014 who knows but regardless he will be in IX.

No way somebody of his caliber and connection to SW would pass up on the final Star Wars OT connected movie no freaking way.

If Leia flew in space then she caught Han as he was falling I mean Darth Maul is alive and he was cut in half and fell down the shaft and now Palpatine so why not Han!

I feel this direction you would need another trilogy to follow this. But I think they said they want to finish the saga with no tie ins. Meaning they want to finish the Skywalker saga once and for all

Yeah, most of you guys are into the nerdy good guys of the saga. It shows in your collections.

I on the other hand love the bad guys and the dark path.

Prolly true. I am one of the guys who actually wants to see Kylo redeemed.

He killed Han Solo and almost killed his mother. There's no credible redemption for Kylo.

To some degree though she has. Remember in TFA when she was controlling the trooper , they did that weird background rumble and weird sound effects that they showed when Kylo used the mind control in the film. And you can’t forget when she read Kylo’s mind and said his fear of not being as strong as Vader. Almost like when Anakin was choking Palme And when she was channeling the force on the rock in TLJ , the dark side of the planet Ach To called to her

I just took another look at the trailer... what the hell is she actually doing in those opening moments? There's a fighter coming at her and she's just standing out in the open pysching herself up, then runs away with the saber lit, then jumps at it as it comes up on her? Seems like something more out of a superhero movie than a SW movie. You think of the realistic ways Luke took down a speeder bike in ROTJ and ATAT in ESB and this looks like Rey should be wearing spandex.

And boy, do they love showing low-flying craft throwing up surface dust/spray in the ST. We had the X-wings over the water in TFA, the salt/snow on Crait in TLJ now this - all the same look.

She'd have to develop her whiny voice - and with her Brit accent it'd be a beauty.
