I get that Snoke is dead ..but why do we need Palapatine at this point . Makes no sense

Honestly the only way that Palapatine can be significant is if he is a ghost or a flashback.

On the contrary, if they’re wrapping up the entire saga it makes perfect sense. I thought the rise of the Skywalker family was part of Darth Plagueis’ grand plan, but I’ll settle for Palps.

Binary Clown, lol.

In one fell swoop Palpatine's presence stops the ST from being a poor man's OT and turns it into a proper extension *of* the OT. Bring him on. :yess:

Rogue One will continue to gain a following and be THE Star Wars movie people remember fondly from Disney over the years.

I have no idea how the streaming series will do or how that will impact Star wars as a whole, but I'm looking forward to the Mandalorian much more than Episode Nein.

Not coincidentally, a movie literally set INSIDE the OT with the full suite of ANH story-stakes, characters/costumes and visuals. Old farts know what they want.:lol

RO is the BTTF2 of the OT.:dunno:lol

There was never going to be a huge “new” generation of SW fans to begin with because 2015 isn’t 1977.

Back then space movies meant Kubrick’s yawn 2001 or you had to go back 3 decades for Earth vs the Flying Saucer.

Today I can watch GOTG on Imax.

Disney knows this but they’re going to go for it anyways.

Why you may ask would Disney do such a silly thing?

I don’t know could it be because they own the biggest freaking MOVIE STUDIO so that’s WHAT THEY DO! lol

OMG look at that jumbo jet airplane pilot he’s he’s PILOTING A JUMBO JET how dare he!

In Disney’s case.... into the ground lol

But whatever they paid 4.5 billion for it they can do what they please with it.

Keep making them EVENTUALLY ONE or TWO will be great shame a few crashed and burned but oh well life is only but controlled chaos that we try to mitigate with stop signs and red lights.

:goodpost:

You and I need to go to Steve Sansweet’s Ranch and fill a backpack with toys and then drop it off at the Wor-Gar estate then call the police lol

But what good is a grand plan at this point. The main villain is a man that wants to rule the universe alone remember “ let the past die “

The only way Palapatine could make an impact is turn Rey to the dark side, but you can’t end this trilogy and the message they want to give young women about girl power by making the main hero evil :dunno

The grand plan may have ended at Ep VI, perhaps Palpatine just lives on through his manipulation of midichlorians. This episode could be all about exposition (which we’ve had precious little of so far). Kylo learning Anakin’s true origins may turn him?

I’ll admit the whole Snoke thing will seem pointless unless he was a pawn or host body of Palps.

I visited Steve's L.A. house in the mid 90s and most of the toys were in pretty poor condition even then, so who knows what condition they'd be in now.:lecture The guy had one of literally everything (this was pre-PT though) but condition clearly wasn't his thing.

Quantity over quality eh? I guess completists sometimes can’t be too picky.

Hmm Palapatine possessing Snoke’s body could work..but then how would Snoke being killed make sense.

The problem is if they wanted to bring back the emperor at any point, they never should’ve killed off Luke in TLJ . They should’ve had Luke die by killing Palapatine in this film then every thing comes together because of the connection between Palapatine and the Skywalker family. :slap

A hoarder then lol

Have you checked your basement recently?

:D

Well other then some Rey look alikes sleeping very comfortably on a nicely carpeted floor yeah no toys down there that I can see.

Maybe if Luke’s Force ghost and Rey can turn Kylo, and Kylo kills Palpatine, it’ll be a double redemption for Luke?

Yeah that’s the only logical outcome that could come of this Emperor encounter

Then the title has everything to do with Luke returning but I just can’t see JJ making it this obvious and that easy. Ugh this movie title :slap

A hoarder then lol

Honestly, there was SW **** stuffed in every nook and cranny of that house. I mean you were brushing up against it and nearly stepping on it.:lol

Though the props were cool as hell. I remember walking down these stairs and there was Fett's stunt backpack on the wall and a speeder bike model at the bottom of the stairs. A great guy but I was amazed how he treated them though - I met him first at a props show and the way he handled his screen-used biker scout helmet terrified me.:lol

I still reckon the title is about explaining the rise that’s already happened rather than any rise to come.

That, and the Disney Marketing focus group ticked that title first because it had the strongest brand recognition of all the choices.:lecture:lol

So you are thinking it’s a history of the Skywalker clan ..that would be fascinating..but why wait to the last film to go back in time :lecture

Don’t worry fellas don’t worry Disney got the message by falling short of almost 700 million from their 2 billion goal with TLJ.

Plagueis will be shown.

Palpatine shooting force lightning instead of silly saber.

Luke, Han, Leia together in a flashback.

Hayden.

Finn, Poe or Maz will die.

Flashbacks to Naboo.

Flashbacks to explain the 32 gap.

Ewan

Luke fighting in a flashback or even current timeline.

Kylo dying.

Big space battle.

KOR big saber battle.

Vampire mynocks

Rey will be someone important

Did I forget anything. :lol
