Especially the shooting one. Ever see Eastwood, Stallone or Arnold make a face like that when shooting a gun?

And this is why :

Spock was every bit Nimoy's character as it was the writers, Nimoy even came up with the Vulcan neck pinch and salute, He also wanted Spock to die in WOK. If the people running SW now had any respect for Hamil, they should've consulted him on how he wanted his character handled.

It's like they instructed her to not be feminine. As if there's something demeaning about being a woman.

Mark Hamill’s section from TLJ documentary:

The last bit is :crying

Wow. That was gut-wrenching.

I don't begrudge Johnson for wanting to offer a unique interpretation for Luke. I don't agree with it but I understand why he wanted to go against expectation especially since giving us the Luke we all want wouldn't let Rey shine. However, I think it was incredibly selfish to also kill Luke at the end. He wanted to have the final say on the character and he wanted to give some weight behind his movie at the expense of future movies and the character itself. I get why Mark Hamill is pissed and I am glad that he has not been quiet about it.

I do not think getting rid of Luke is part of any thing on Disney's part to change the franchise. Even if there is some kind of agenda, getting rid of Luke doesn't really fit that agenda. I suspect they wanted to let an "auteur" do his thing, hoping for a critical darling. I think they let Johnson have free run as opposed to the other directors because he gelled well with Kennedy.
