Must say I’m liking the theory of Reylo being separated at birth, and/or being Anakin’s light and dark sides.

Would explain why the saber called to Rey - if J.J. feels it needs ‘splaining.

Brother and sister again? Would they dare?

Of course they would. It's JJ. And yes. 'Splaining galore will follow.

Rey Skywalker. Rey Solo. Same thing. Skywalker blood.

I hope they don't do what was predicted in 2015. I hope its Jannah Skywalker... with her bow and fro.

I kept feeling like that was the deal for a while....so many visual cues as well....

Ever noticed the floor in the temple on Ach-to

Powerful light, powerful darkness, one cannot exist without the other.

Being less predictable is not what Star Wars is about. Star Wars was built on predictability. Its made of common myths. Ancient stories we all know. Familiar styles, architecture and clothing through time. If you have a pirate gunslinger, then he should be dressed like a cliché gunslinger/pirate. The dark knight should be in black armor. Etc.

They did one surprise -- I am your father -- one surprise that we really all should have seen coming... but no one did because Star Wars was ... wait for it... simple and predictable. But ever since that one unique twist, people think that every Star Wars needs some "big reveal". They expect it -- which ironically makes it 'the new' predictable. The crazy fan fiction ideas always involve some big, complicated twist. Luke will turn evil. Rey will turn evil. Yet, there's still only been one big twist in Star Wars. The same one its always been.

Do you mean *literally* separated at birth? If they go that route, there's a lot of published material that will be retconned as a result. They've made it clear that Rey is ten years younger than Kylo. If they backtracked on that now, the story group would be truly useless.

Soooooo true.....and that initial twist was not even that inspired....Shakespeare anyone?

The idea of every film/show needing that OMG moment has ruined alotmof things.
M Nights career for one, every film he makes since the 6th sense has to have a twist.

Countless TV shows wrecked with the “One Up” season finale Dexter, Lost, BSG and SOA.....

The conflict between good and evil works fine, twists arent needed.

Kylo and Rey are just Anakins (the Forces) children. One born to light the other to dark.

Destined to battle for ever , never winning always achieving balance.

Separated at youth. Mind wipe like 3PO. Both. Kylo raced to Luke to watch over, just like Ben to Luke. Didn't go so well though. Rey left with highbrow, wealthy but adoring... oh wait, no... poor, very poor... one guy, alien dude, cranky, makes her work for food.

Hmmmm, didn’t know that. Though directors have always had the authority to overrule the story group.

When Kylo says “WHAT girl?!” in TFA does that imply an existing connection?

Ahhhh, so Obi Wan was deliberately placed on Jakku to "watch over" Rey as she matured from being the parentless desert dweller, but sworn to keep secret her powerful Skywalker parentage, until its revealed (be a cool SW-sy "That's not true...!" type moment when she finds out too) along with a twin sibling she's had some awkward flirting with... maybe that can be revealed during a lightsaber duel too so her first instinct can be to fight/defend her twin sibling from the dark side.

Oh wait...

My wife's boyfriend was nice enough to film my reaction to these pics, cause my eyes were too blurry to use the camera.
