Luke's ANH whines are legendary obviously but why does this video clock stuff like "what are you doing hiding back there?" and "you got something jammed in here real good" and "I've never heard of them hitting anything this big before" and "why would Imperial troops want to slaughter Jawas" as complaints? There's quite a few things that aren't really complaints so it kinda takes the fun out of the video (despite it being a great idea for a youtube video.)

Good on Harrison. Love that guy.

Unabomber Solo.:lol

Man that Falcon ride at the new Star Wars theme park is getting ripped to shreds lol

Falcon looks great but the experience sucks.

So one person controls the up and down of the Falcon and the other person the left and right, go ahead try playing a video game that way lol

That’s just the 2 pilot seats the other 4 spots in the ride they said was boring crap.

How much does going to that park cost, 5k-10k ouch.

From CNN:

"As for the experience itself, don't expect a reenactment of a planet, moon or battle you've seen in any of the films or TV shows. "We know we are not part of those stories," said Scott Trowbridge, the Disney creative executive behind the new theme park land. So this isn't Tatooine, Coruscant or Endor but a new Earth-like planet called Batuu."

What a stupid idea.

So you go to Harry Potter World, you get to walk inside Gringot's, ride the Hogwarts Express (with Harry and the gang seemingly outside your carriage) go to the leaky Cauldron and walk through a massive, accurate recreation of Daigun Alley, all recreating iconic scenes from the movies.

SW fans get to visit not the iconic Cantina, Jabba's Palace, or Death Star... or Hoth or Tatooine... but "Batuu." What a massive wasted opportunity.:slap

I’m ok with the setting as long as the experience is great meaning the falcon can be flying thru Manhattan for all I care as long as it’s fun and actually worth the thousands people are paying then great but that falcon experience sounds horrible even if they had made it an OT location.

Well the public hasn’t attended yet this was a press event but i’ve read some crazy numbers being shelled out for booking the experience especially if you’re building lightsabers for the kids lol

Regardless these bad reviews is not what Disney needed so close to IX.

Waiting in line for 3 hours to build a $215 FX lightsaber. :rock

lol

Not recreating any OT locales has got to be one of the dumbest ideas imaginable. Sounds like they might have spent billions to provide an experience that can't even match the 1986 Star Tours ride. :slap

Just imagine how dumb it is to have two people control the flight maneuvering of the falcon the reporter said that no matter what he did with going up and down the guy next to him that was in charge of going left and right kept crashing so it was frustrating and not fun then the park penalizes your credits at the end for not doing well even though technically you can’t fail the ride lol

The Endor scene with Luke, Leia and then Han when Luke reveals Leia’s true family is Prequel tier. I hate that scene.

“HOLD ME”

Jabba the Hutt is the best performance in that movie and he’s a ****ing puppet with midgets controlling him.

The best acting in a Star Wars movie is probably Empire Strikes Back. Sans “NO, THAt’S NOT TRUE, THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE. NOOOO NOOOO”

Yup, thats my OT cringe scene.....but different line.

“but why must you confront him?” Who talked and emotes like that....

Ecccch

Wait what — *how much* are people paying?

I think that was an exaggeration.

A typical week long WDW visit can range from 1500-7000, for the average visitor depending on level of service.

Oh is that where we have arrived now to destroy the ST and make the PT look like it’s in good company it needs to be pointed out that 77 and 80 induces feelings of cringe, sigh.

Not really that’s his normal barrel chested COPD look.

So let me get this straight they get together for a theme park but for the ST their characters were kept separated. :slap

I can't wait to ride on a Bantha as it slowly creeps through the deserts of Tatooine! :lol

Reviews I've read so far have been mixed. It all looks and feels like you're in the SW universe but the rides themselves are boring AF. It's like go there to get a picture next to the Falcon, and then go ride Tower of Terror or something.

Wow, controlling the Falcon like that sounds horrible!

Seems like recreating Mos Eisley would have been such an obvious way to hit it out of the park, really have to ask what these designers, or the executives were thinking. Even Naboo would have been better than what they ultimately went with. Those 2 settings would have lent themselves to dining establishments and shops (and more shops, which is what Disneyworld is all about) quite well, and would have ticked all the boxes for fans.

Lucas is at it again with that 12 year olds ideology.

In his new 20 year Phantom Menace anniversary interview he’s going back to that well that if you were 12 the movie was great but if you were 30 then it only served as an unfortunate but painful reminder that SW movies were always meant for 12-year-olds not 30-year-olds.

Sigh.

I hope you don’t end up in the engineering or weapons position they’re even worse than the piloting.

One of the reviewers said that they missed the entire screen presentation in the falcon because they were forced to just stare at the blinking weapons light on the console just so they could hit a firing button lol
