Deciding which Blu Ray version of TLJ to get

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

you really thinnk so? if thats so then they were cowards :rotfl :rotfl

Cowards?! That's funny.

Not wanting to read pitiful screeching, whining and complaining non-stop is cowardly? :lol

The adults just left the babies to throw their tantrum while they enjoyed some silence.

The Room > ST star wars

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Cowards for not dignifying the screams of irrational and immature "fans" by joining the discussions? More like they were the wise ones...

yeah lets wait for the movie to died down and lets wait for people to forget about it so that we can pleasure each other in an echo chamber and declare our love for star wars....
yeah thats wise? nothing like burying your head in the sand and wait for the war to be over and then heroically come out and finally take a side.... sure, thats what cool people do :lol

mind you my coward comment didn't apply to anyone here. we all talked to each other and for the most part it was civil. I cant recall any really nasty fights over the movie.

But if other people outside of here are just coming out to support the movie, specially in echo chambers in other places, thats basically stroking each other's ego. Im not saying anyone needed to get into flame wars or spend 10 hours defending the movie. you get my point?
then that just becomes like a support group lol

Exclamation points don't always equal anger, but if it makes you happy, go ahead and tell yourself that.

I see comments like this thrown around from time to time when it's always the bashers who crave echo chambers the most. Case in point: Only the haters and trolls lamented the closure of the TLJ thread. They were the ones who needed that chamber, not the fans.

can you tell me who lamented the closure? I only remember the casual people asking what happened. are you referring to snikt? or Jye? cuz both of them lamented it and one was a hater and another one was a lover.
who lamented the closing? I seriously only remember the normal people wondering what happened or asking about it. (people taht were neither full lovers or full haters)

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Someone should make a list of all the lovers/praisers & the haters/disappointed (ers?) .

Then we can come back next year and see who changed their opinions after Ep9 (for those who even bother to see it).

Is Ep8 now redeemed (for haters) or is Ep8 now terrible (for lovers)?

Next year, the release of Ep9 should lead to even more fun discussions than Ep8 did. :lol

That thread was beyond pathetic. Hate or love the movie, I'm glad it got closed and is never getting re-opened.

I doubt it. I don't see myself taking much part in discussions about further SW films and I have a hunch that many others feel the same. I'm sure the same people that bashed TFA, RO, and TLJ will bash Solo, Episode 9 and everything else. I don't think there's any mystery about what to expect going forward.

Can't say I disagree, lol.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I'm not going to be baited into naming names. ;)

i didnt mean it like that, just shoot me a PM, (I am genuinely curious about what you mean )
but even if you dont. I cant recall. I recall people making fun of Spazz getting banned and i recall mocking comments about the thread. but cant recall anyone genuinely sad about the thread closing (except snikt)

well I defended force awakens and Rogue one. so i dont know bro. i dont think it is a black and white as you make it out to be.

Well I didn't say it's black and white across the board. I know there's lots of reasonable people like JAWS* who didn't like TLJ for whatever reason (but did like RO, etc.) but they're pretty much drowned out by the crazies.

* reasonable if a bit misguided :monkey3

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I blame that spazz guy. He made it out to be bigger than it actually was and kept throwing out these crazy theories. Riled up th thread quite a bit
