This is the first Star Wars film I won't get opening night tickets for. I'll willingly read any and all spoilers for it. If people say there are some great set-pieces for the big screen, I'll eventually check it out on a cheap night.

Or I'll just watch a pirated copy.

I don't think they can come back from the hash they've made of the ST.

All that being said, I'm all in to check out The Mandalorian. It looks promising.

I agree 100% with all of the complaints.

I agree 100% that Disney botched up the ST.

Not in a million years would I miss the first show opening night of a SW movie that has the main OT cast in them and is the conclusion to the Skywalker saga.

I'm right there with you. Hard to believe, but I actually like TFA and TLJ, so I'll definitely be there opening night.

I actually enjoyed the vibe in TFA even though I didn't like the ANH re-tread or what I perceive as their cynical disposal of Han.

TLJ just soured me on it. For me it's not even about 'issues' or 'agendas' or what-have-you. It's just poor storytelling in my opinion. I literally can't bring myself to care what happens next.

Now I'm sure I enjoy a lot of things that others don't, so no judgement. It's just entertainment at the end of the day, but I think they lost me on this one.

Which is kind of liberating to be honest. :lol

It’s all good ZE some things just don’t connect as intended for some people it doesn’t mean you’re not a SW fan I have nothing but respect for you following your heart on this matter.

*note to self put ZE on ignore because him skipping out on IX clearly shows a lack of respect and passion for the OT in what amounts to a gutless decision only a non diehard fake fan could ever dream of deciding upon.

LOLOLOLOLOL!!! REP'd!

If the sequel trilogy had taken place far in the future after ROTJ and didn't include any of the original characters, but it was fully planned out as a new trilogy, would people be angry about not having a story with Luke and everyone?

Yeah what could Bob Iger have possibly given them all to elicit such excitement in 2015? Ah, found it:
