Yawn to both, both franchises have turned into dumpster fires. Like the older films from each, but the new ones - yikes.

That attitude is what keeps you from breaking into the 900s.

That is most definitely my favorite post of the day even better than Jessica Biel in a bikini wet.

So now I?m hearing about...

Mara Jade, Luke?s son, Rey?s clone sister

Might be involved in the plot for IX

Oh Disney this could turn out to be a cluster #### :thud:

Rey is going to be a clone or force baby for sure, its the only way any of this will work from a story standpoint. She cant be palps granddaughter, otherwise her parent being weak nobodies doesnt jive. Why wouldnt he train his son or daughter, besides the emperor doesnt **** he just implants babies using the force. If she has palptaine, skywalker or any other decendent jedi/sith dna its cause she is a clone or created by palps as a force baby of some sort like anakin

That's one of my favorite sentences I've read in any of these threads. :lol Even though I'd hate clone Rey as the ultimate explanation of her origin, I agree with you about how weird the whole granddaughter thing would be. The explanation for that reveal would have to be really well-thought-out and presented convincingly *in the movie itself* for it to work.

I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around Palpatine being alive (if he actually is, rather than spirit or hologram). If that's where this is going, it will again need to be explained in the film itself how he'd survive an exploding Death Star, why he would let the Empire crumble, let a new Republic be established, and play a waiting game of nearly thirty years for a new Empire to rise up and start all over again.

Whatever they do, I just hope they explain everything instead of leaving key exposition to be done in novels/comics/tv.

Supposedly George was involved so they will probably explain the disappointing pony ride that set Palpatine down the Sith lane. We’ll find out that shaft Vader chucked him in was actually a tube slide ending in an escape pod with a General Lee horn.
