lol

All kidding aside he got quite the positive reaction at TIFF.

The cast for that movie is insane.

RJ is certainly better at his craft than JJ.

I?m sure Knives Out is good if you?re into that. I found the trailer unappealingly arch. I didn?t care for Looper either, long before TLJ. That was one of those movies you keep hearing is great but when you watch it you feel like Bruce Wayne eating vichyssoise. Dafuq Alfred?

Either he's the most talented person in Hollywood or he's got some very dirty secrets that's got every producer at heel. How he secured a SW trilogy and a cast like that for Knives Out will forever remain a mystery.

So saw a blurb from a recent Rian Johnson interview in which he says that he honored Star Wars by deconstructing it. Reminded me of that statement from Zatch Snyder?s wife about BvS - something like ?fans don?t want to see their heroes deconstructed.

Yeah, JJ reconstructed then RJ deconstructed. Who knows what JJ will do next, but he says RJ's risk-taking has emboldened him.

I had no problem with TLJ *or* BvS. The difference with BvS is, it's just the latest of countless interpretations of the characters, so you can take it or leave it.

So... Force ghosts...

The link didn't work for me, so I had to quote your post to get the url. The article is a great read for those who don't know about the original plans for the Force ghosts in ROTJ. It's the idea of Kenobi returning at the end *in the flesh* that I'm very glad GL changed and just kept him a ghost. But JJ doing something with that old (and bad, imo) idea is on the table, I guess.

Hopefully the link will work if I try it this way:

I figured Yoda already did that in TLJ.

But if they are able to come fully back how can it be the Last Jedi!

There will never be a last of them lol

Ugh -- its going to be like Endgame -- all the greatest Jedi from time will appear: Qui-Gon, Windu, Kenobi, Yoda, that blue chick, peen-head, Kit Fisto, and of course, actor extraordinaire Anakin Skywalker.

:lol :lol :lol

Maybe that?s what Solo meant when he said - Then i?ll see you in hell.

Yoda, Luke, Kenobi and Anakin just won?t freaking leave...

I understand your point about Yoda, but even in that early version of ROTJ, Yoda and Ben helped Luke in the throne room (blocking Palpatine's lightning) when they were *still ghosts.* But at the very end (Endor celebration), Kenobi would've come back to life and ceased to be a Force ghost altogether.

That's my problem with it: the coming back to life part. If Force ghosts can interact with the living world, I'm okay with that since it's pretty clear that only a handful of them ever learned how to become one in the first place. But if they can just come back to life, then there's no actual sacrifice at all in leaving the mortal world (as Kenobi did in ANH). It cheapens death/danger/sacrifice for Jedi.

Lucas probably wanted a sappy super-happy ending when he came up with the idea for Kenobi to come back to life. But the important thing is that he (or someone else) thought better of it. I just hope JJ understands why it was good to think better of it back then and scrap the "comes back to life" idea.

peen-head will rise again . . . and Viagra will ponder the marketing opportunities.

But Anakin *should* show up in TROS. Bad acting or not, I think it would be a glaring omission if the Hayden ghost we see in ROTJ just went completely missing after that.
