Supposedly George was involved so they will probably explain the disappointing pony ride that set Palpatine down the Sith lane. We’ll find out that shaft Vader chucked him in was actually a tube slide ending in an escape pod with a General Lee horn.

That's one of my favorite sentences I've read in any of these threads. Even though I'd hate clone Rey as the ultimate explanation of her origin, I agree with you about how weird the whole granddaughter thing would be. The explanation for that reveal would have to be really well-thought-out and presented convincingly *in the movie itself* for it to work.
I'm still having a hard time wrapping my mind around Palpatine being alive (if he actually is, rather than spirit or hologram). If that's where this is going, it will again need to be explained in the film itself how he'd survive an exploding Death Star, why he would let the Empire crumble, let a new Republic be established, and play a waiting game of nearly thirty years for a new Empire to rise up and start all over again.
Whatever they do, I just hope they explain everything instead of leaving key exposition to be done in novels/comics/tv.
Watching ANH last night I started laughing when Obi-Wan told Luke that only imperial storm troopers are so precise with their shooting.
I was like will you get a look at this lying SOB lol

I'll do you one better ''how did the explosion survive the explosion!''
One thing i?m certain about is that the biggest complaint about the ST will be resolved in IX.
We?ll definitely get Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie, R2D2 and C3PO together in the same shot interacting with each other.
[emoji38]He can't quite pull off that Cable hairstyle, eh?
Looks more like Simple Jack.

Now I'm dying to hear Ford doing Simple Jack.

Meanwhile, Hasbro has only confirmed five action figures from TROS, and no dedicated line: https://4lomkuss.com/the-future-of-3-34-figures/
An indication of both the ST and kids' plastic playthings losing their luster?
