So saw a blurb from a recent Rian Johnson interview in which he says that he honored Star Wars by deconstructing it.

I find the visual parallel between Barf and Rose to be both troubling and fitting.:lol

So... Force ghosts...

It's funny how the trying out and discarding of different ideas is a part of the creative process but when it comes to Star Wars it takes on an aspect of biblical discovery. The discussions between Speilberg, Lucas and Kasdan regarding Indy's relationship with an uncomfortably young Marion are not quite so revered, or suggested as a guiding idea for future Indy films.:lol

ST needs a great land or space battle.

So far it has failed to give that.

Funny enough the PT had neither.

ROTS opening space battle is really weak other than the gorgeous opening of Anakin and ObiWan diving towards the battle with the sun glare but that is what 20 seconds max lol

Don?t even bring up that embarrassing AOTC Geonosis battle yikes that?s bad.

Pretty sad when Battlefront 2 videogame cut scenes have better space battles. :slap

The link didn't work for me, so I had to quote your post to get the url. The article is a great read for those who don't know about the original plans for the Force ghosts in ROTJ. It's the idea of Kenobi returning at the end *in the flesh* that I'm very glad GL changed and just kept him a ghost. But JJ doing something with that old (and bad, imo) idea is on the table, I guess.

Hopefully the link will work if I try it this way:

Watching ANH last night I started laughing when Obi-Wan told Luke that only imperial storm troopers are so precise with their shooting.

I was like will you get a look at this lying SOB lol

Is this d-bag who does the Making SW website & the nigh unlistenable podcast usually right? Because the”spoilers” he’s spewing are pretty bad.

I'm seeing reports that LFL is leaking plot details on purpose to try and get ahead of backlash this time around by seeing what causes the most outrage while there's still time for reshoots.

Based on what I’ve heard that sounds way more plausible than the supposed plot points.

Apparently, he got the TFA plot outline almost completely right several months before it hit theaters. Not so accurate with TLJ. Maybe his sources are specific to JJ/Bad Robot.

That makes sense. And I hope it's true, because some of that stuff seems really far-fetched and troubling. In particular . . .

Rey discovering the power to heal or bring someone back to life! AND shoot Force lightning! All discovered on the fly again!? Yikes!
