Luke saw Ben do the Jedi mind trick with his own two eyes. He was aware it was something that a Jedi could do.

Rey pulled it out of her ass. Cause she's magic.

I'm assuming your questions are rhetorical cause surely you've seen the deleted scenes in Ben's hut where Luke finishes his saber and puts it into Artoo.

Now the real life behind the scenes reason Luke's saber looks like Ben's is cause it IS Ben's. Or at least, it was a similar prop. But I don't think it's a stretch by any means that he went back to Ben's hut, found instructions on building a saber, along with extra hilts and crystals.

Rey on the other hand seems to taped Anakin's saber back together. Look at the pics of the accessories that come with the SHF figure. There's a brown band around the center. She taped it. Problem solved.

Still doesn't explain how she magically decided she could control that Stormtrooper without ever knowing such a thing was possible.

I don't remember that at all, but I'll take your word for it. I've only seen the movie once, on opening night, and I have no plan to ever watch it again.

Should have used kat dennings instead of NP and named it God of love and Thunder ****. On a more serious note, NP is skin in bones its going to take a crap ton of cgi to make her look buff lol. I dont like this at all she is no lady thor besides isnt she the one that quit because they replaced Patty Jenkins as director of dark world. She threw a temper tantrum and demanded out of her contract. They already wrote her out why bring her back they could have used anyone else at this point, or just recast her with a more believable actress that fills the costume out
