Well, I think the point is the OT is the timeless classic, the cultural phenomenon that deeply embedded itself in the collective psyche.

This to me is like a ride based on the 2016 Ghostbusters - I mean its visually cool because it relates to the classic (ghosts, proton streams, the car, similar outfits/locations etc) and it shares the branding of the classic, but why develop so much when in 15-20 years, the ST will have faded in comparison to the OT?

I guess despite them owning it, Disney didn't produce the OT, it's over 30 years old, and currently all the financial/merch ties relate to the ST. But to me it's a reflection of our time - where branding is an obsession and the power of story just doesn't have the same importance in an era of social media and the internet.

It would have been nice to have seen a somewhat even mixture of OT, PT and ST in this Galaxy's Edge.

There will be OT and PT elements added to Galaxies Edge over time. Right now they wanted to focus on the current movies - this is not an unusual process as LFL always did the same thing to us (Sideshow), we would present our list of figures we wanted to make, and they would pick out and approve what they wanted to be focused on at the time. Fans may not like that kind of process but it's normal operating procedures.

All that said Galaxies Edge is awesome, regardless of which generation of SW it is. Truly immersive and so much fun - I have season passes to Disneyland (Anaheim) and go all the time. Like every other part of the park, how packed it is varies on day and time. If it's underperforming it sure is hard to tell as you would then have to say the entire park is underperforming.

There is nothing to all these fake leaked rumors ........

Speaking to Vanity Fair, the filmmaker revealed that Episode 9 will introduce a host of new Force powers – including some that will "infuriate some fans." Reasoning why, he told the publication: “It was really important that we not just redo the things you’ve seen, but add new elements—which we knew will infuriate some people and thrill others."

Great -- Jannah and her horse have Force abilities -- that's why they can lead a charge across a Star Destroyer... so Ewok can hurl a rock into the bridge and destroy the entire cruiser.

The new Rise of Resistance ride opened up in WDW and has been a hit so far but it has broken down a couple of times so we will see, a couple of reviews and POV had shown nothing but greatness

I don?t know I didn?t see anything amazing in that ride.

Is the car actually doing rollercoaster drops when their shuttle drops to the planet.

The giant ATAT looked all wacky scale.

The hanger was cool I guess.

The outside space visuals were cool I guess.

Its definately better than that super lame Falcon ride thats for certain lol

But for $35,000 I don?t know.

This heads up probably would have been more useful before TLJ.

At this point, the usefulness of that heads up is akin to people who don’t signal they’re changing lanes until they’re already 3/4 of the way into your lane; as if you haven’t already noticed they’re changing lanes by the time they start signaling to let you know they’re changing lanes.

“We’re going to be introducing some new Force powers in TRoS that have never been seen before, that may infuriate some fans.”

Mace survived? Maybe SLJ will appear in the first SW post-credits scene, just like the in the MCU. "What, you thought old California Raisin Face could kill me off? B*tch please. See you in three years." :D
