Why does Broom Boy get so much hate? I thought it was nice to see there still is some potential hope for Force users in the galaxy.

Yeah. I always imagined that after the fall of the empire, there would be more and more young kids who were force sensitives, just unaware of their own potential.
It was one avenue of TLJ i liked the idea of.

I was watching on Fox news a recap of the last ten years. Four movies were in the montage, Avengers (2012) circle scene, TFA (Chewie we're home), Black Panther or Infinity War...I can't tell (Wakanda Forever) and Joker (Dancing down the steps).

Sorry Rey, Finn and Poe. No one likes you. :nana:

A lot of weird things get hate. Rose got the most hate even tho she?s just as poorly written as the others

I am curious to see what comes out of Star Wars for movies next. Hopefully it will be a cohesive storyline. Newest trilogy wasn't consistent since there was no plan and it shows. Overall just big pretty images but little story. The new Star Wars is like a super model. You look at the images and say wow pretty but can't really have a conversation with it or think about it much without feeling empty. The Mandalorian show to me is great overall. Hopefully the other shows they put out will deliver as well. Still glad Star Wars stories are being done.

Broom boy remains the most curious ending to a Star Wars movie ever. It is so out of sync structurally with these movies.

I never got the broom boy issue.

How is he any different than the younglings?

Unless the contention is no one can access the force without guidance or training? Which would also have been proven incorrect since QG says the reason Anakin can race pods is he is using the force.

Pretty sure force users being able to access the force without training has always been a thing.

I think its overtly hammy and sappy shot, but that a clear Disney selling to kids moment.

Just because Yoda saw some visions of Luke growing up on Tatooine doesn't me Yoda could protect him, that was Obi-Wan's job... I imagine will see more of what Obi-Wan did on Tatooine in the new Obi-Wan series on Disney+ ...

As for Vader, remember Yoda warned Luke he wasn't ready to confront Vader...

Oh I agree, but to me the leap to force projection from force viewing is not some gigantic chasm....intellectually or within the universe. If you can see whats going on millions of miles away, AND see the future in glimpses, why would it seem so alien to project into the mind of others to see what you wanted them too?

Now the teleport stuff is more of a leap, but being a fan of Issac Asimov tends to allow me to accept that kind of thing as its probably possible.

I think the broom kid got the hates because it was a weird ending to a movie that a large portion of the fandom was at least conflicted about. I don’t really see anybody talking about him much. :dunno

Probably safe to say the RJ trilogy is shelved but they will never directly state as much. Certainly the blurbs in the press have not been encouraging.

I think Broom Boy was the set up for Rian's proposed trilogy. I bet anything he planned on making him the focus of his jedi story.

The helicopter shot ending TFA initially bugged me and took me out of the movie but it no longer irks me.

But that broom kid looked like a wall street executive kid playing dress up as a slave for Halloween.

Go to hell Broom Kid lol

Then again ROTJ ended with freaking Ewoks and TPM with Gungans.

When it comes to SW you need to pick your poison

Its not what he represents, its him having the finale of the movie. Its strange to break away from your central characters/storyline, especially at the very end.

Its also overtly hammy and sappy, yes, and an all-too Disney tag.

First production still of RJ's new trilogy which will explore the dark underbelly of child slavery in the SW universe, lol:

Yeah another credit to TROS for providing the third best final shot of the Saga.
