Yeah these guys are really doing a national service here. I decided to go ahead and even do a PayPal donation to their site while they're working on Empire.

ROTJ 4K83 arrived today and WOW. *Finally* we get to watch scenes like the original Max Reebo sequence with just as much clarity as the rest of the movie. No more jumping back and forth from different cobbled together sources like we do with Harmy. Not knocking Harmy, the guy is a legend for what he gave us, but man, like with SW this is the only version of ROTJ I will ever watch again.

It's surreal to watch 1983 ROTJ sourced directly from an apparently pristine 35mm print transferred to a 1080p disc and then upscaled to 4K. :thud:

Yeah screw that $500 Disney 4K box set, lol. I'll get 4K TROS, TFA and RO and call it a day. Man I can't freaking wait for them to finish ESB 4K80. :rock

Thanks again:duff I have long assumed that someone in charge would eventually do the right thing and release official high quality untainted versions if for no other reason than greed. But as of the Rey Skywalker Maclunkey boxset I am now convinced that day may never come. Cheers!

My package arrived at a processing center just 2 miles away from my residence to be taken to another processing center 65 miles away for it to then be sent back towards my way wtf :rotfl

No problem man! rock

:lol :lol

The Emperor's arrival is damn near Disney+ quality, that's how good the transfer is. Of the *original theatrical release.* :thud:

This is the most important movie purchase of my entire life lol

The best part is that i?m not even kidding it really is!

So true, not a single piece of pop culture media or memorabilia in my possession compares to these. How many times can we see the same movies again for the first time, lol.

What the hell are you guys taking about? I am so far out of the loop its crazy. Why am I still watching crappy versions?

Google 4K77 and grab a drink because you got a long interesting read ahead of you lol

They started their project as an alternative to the Harmy stitch job.

I?ll let you know how it looks in a few days

So Gareth Edwards has resurfaced after his 4 year disappearance!

He partnered up with one of the RO producers on a new project.

And he's staying in sci-fi. :yess:

Well the going rumor was that he was given the Aliens sequel script for input but now it?s being reported that it will be a new story so who knows but if it was Aliens that would mean he would still be dealing with Disney.

I watched the 4K77 over the weekend and it was pretty awesome! I don't know how long it's been since I watched my original trilogy letterbox collection on VHS but it's been at least 15 years. I had no idea how much I'd enjoy Han shooting first!

:lol Do they give that test to every sucker who makes a sci-fi movie?

Could be worst he could be given a Terminator script lol

Below is Ford's response when asked if Han was a force ghost...

Ford?s response?

?A Force ghost? I don?t know what a Force ghost is?Don?t tell anyone. I?m not talking loud enough for your recorder. I have no ****ing idea what a Force ghost is. And I don?t care!?

Sounds about right. Ford went on to explain how director J.J. Abrams convinced him to return for the film.

?When JJ asked me to do it, I said, ?Are you kidding? I?m dead!?He said, ?Sorta dead. You can do this.?

:lol JJ said sorta dead. A far cry from needled*** Johnson's call to "Let the past die, kill it if you have to".
