Anyway, back on topic...

Khev, that pic you posted yesterday of 3 Blu-ray sets with all the promo stuff (the one you said was my haul, which I did have a good :lol at, by the way)... Where did you get that? Did some person really buy multiple sets just to track all that stuff down?? :horror

I cracked and ran down to Target and bought the set earlier. I still have the un-molested bootleg DVDs I bought back in 2002 for when I want to relive the days of my childhood.

yeah, stop picking on Irish!

j/k

I won't get my set until Monday at the earliest. :monkey2

A quick question, I have a Sony BLU ray S550 and the 24P indicator light is always lit for all BLU ray movies, but it doesn't light up for Star Wars. Anyone else notice this when they watch it on their players?

It's from Rebelscum.

What about the 3D theatrical release?

I've decided not to attend the 3D screenings. I'm wondering if it is true that if TPM does not do a high enough business, that Lucas will scrap plans for the rest of the conversions. 3D gives me a headache anyway. But also, I don't want to see further changes to the films I love from my childhood. Enough is enough.

Just finished ESB.

It was nice to be reminded why it's one of the best movies ever made, right alongside Raiders.

I'm done with picking on the PT, I now own them once again with this box set and they are what they are, no one is forcing me to watch them.

But ESB is truly an awesome piece of art. :rock :bow :rock

I love Hoth in blu-ray.....that's all

NRK TV had a big thing a few years ago of the Bergensbanen railline in Norway. I dl'ed a 21 GB HD video copy. it's worth a look. As the train rolls about two hours into the video it passes through the area where they filmed Hoth.

You can download the entire thing here:

(Hoth begins ~2h 30m)

I just watched it last night also. It is a great film. It use to always be my fav of the trilogy but I think A New Hope is now my fav. Star Wars film. I just never get sick or board with it.

Empire is the better made picture and pretty much perfect but the original has the fun factor which wins me over every time.

But I have always said that Empire is a perfect film right next to JAWS.

Best deleted scene line:

"fried calamari tonight" and "I wish I could stop drooling"

Go find it, i'm still :rotfl

Hang on here. Does this mean there was actually dialogue George Lucas sat back and said "Nah, that's too silly. We'll have to delete that one."

:thud:

I've got a question to anyone that knows the answer, now..if i just buy the OT set on Blu Ray, will i get the same amount of extras for these movies as i would get if i bought the the complete Saga edition?.

No, covered before that only the Saga set has the extras disks.

Ahh ok, so more OT bonus material with the Saga edition then, i'll have to get that then..FFS. XD

It's actually not scripted dialogue, it's just banter between Admiral Ackbar's puppeteer and the off screen dialogue person.

That deleted scene has to be seen, Ackbar is done flying Lucas Air! :lol

Besides, grandma rebel pilot FTW! :rock
