Just recently I picked up the ROTJ novelization from 1983 in Barnes & Noble and flipped to the scene where Vader is unmasked. It mentioned that Vader looked at Luke and wished he could just erase all the 20 years of atrocities he committed from his memory.

Maybe in death that's exactly what he did, and regressed to his former appearance.

As for the new "no's" I think its pretty obvious watching the full saga that Lucas wanted Vader to parallel Anakin screaming no at Mace Windu when he was about to kill Palpatine. In ROTJ its the exact reverse of that scene from ROTS.

I'm still surprised anyone would say they don't like the podrace

I mean, the prequels are pretty much nothing without those parts, and it's really awesome, the film would suck more without it.

I find the Podrace to be somewhat tedious... I was fine with the theatrical version (minus the horrid 2-headed announcer) but the DVD release had the extra portions that 1) made it too long and 2) were pretty ridiculous.

So I don't hate the podrace sequence, but I think it could have been tightened up a bit for pacing.

And how many shots do we need to see of Shmi watching it on her iPad? :monkey4

One thing I like about the podrace is that it showcases Anakin's skill without him jabbering annoyingly the whole time. The Naboo space battle would have played much better IMO if he was quietly getting his fighter under control and dispatching enemy droids similar to how he faced challenges on Tatooine.

I will say that I do plan on eventually getting the PT films on BluRay, but that will either be just the individual set or the entire series if I can get a really good deal, like under $50, later on.

I can't stand the podrace. I actually fast-forwarded through it while watching TPM on Blu-ray.

the main reason that some people dont like the pod race is because of little anakin i bet :lol

it kinda brough tears to my eyes (nothing dripped out of my eyesockets)

Yep, and as someone else mentioned Little Ani is actually at his least annoying during this sequence.

True, but still annoying.

I like the pod races and like anakin in the whole movie. :dunno

I liked the TPM overall, the Pod race was cool IMO. I just got overly annoyed with Jake Loyd. Why couldn't they get a different kid!! like the 6th sense kid or something.

I don't see anyone playing a kid any differently. He was a kid that played a kid well enough.
