the Spielberg-supervised Obi-Wan/Grievous chase animatic was insanely over the top. It got a little silly when they were throwing debri at each over with their respective rides but otherwise I wish they went all out and completed all those initial shots.

I agree, that scene was a what the F moment for me.
The throwing of clone body parts, Grievous shooting a hole in the trolly thing and driving all the way through it, obi wan ripping out grievous' heart, shooting it, and then throwing grievous of the edge was interesting to say the least.

*put spoiler to not ruin the deleted scenes for those who haven't watched.

Watched all the discarded PT scenes and animatics. I really preferred a lot of the initial concepts over what we ended up with (at least in ROTS though I also liked the expanded Geonosis arena fight). The expanded Order 66 was great and the Spielberg-supervised Obi-Wan/Grievous chase animatic was insanely over the top. I watched those myself. For the most part what they left out was fine leaving out I did like a couple of the TPM ones though but the reset didn't really add anything to me.

The lizard dragon wagging his tail at the flying debris = WTF :lol

Then again the entire animatic was :lol

Spielberg must've been hopped up on JAWS caffeine!

Just finished ESB. Loved it. But I did sense one change which I haven't seen anyone comment on. I would swear there was dialog between Han and Leia where she says "I'd rather kiss a wookie" and Han replies "That can be arranged. HE COULD USE A GOOD KISS!!!"

Han doesn't say what I have bolded in this version. I thought that was strange.

Tomorrow is Revenge of the Sith.

Are you serious? Why would they remove that, that's a classic piece of dialogue...to me at least. :(

Doesn't he say that about someone else? Or maybe that's an Indy line? I remember hearing Ford say that, but not after that line. :huh

Is that what he said? I always thought it was "YOU could use a good kiss," as if the Wookiee would be the superior kisser. That sounds like something insulting Han would say when he was pissed at Leia. Regardless its still strange if they cut the line completely.

THAT I remember. :lol Maybe Pix is dreaming about making out with Mayhew after watching all that behind-the-scenes stuff. :lol

On a sort of related note, have folks seen this?

.I just saw that on Amazon, the Blu Ray has over 1,500 reviews, and the average rating is 2 stars out of 5

Exclusively for the BluRays? More often than not, Amazon merges regular DVD reviews with their BluRays for the actual movie content vs. the format.

Yeah, that was mostly from the fan backlash from when the new changes to the OT were leaking out every one started knocking it on the reviews.

Mark Hamill adlibbing "You're lucky you don't taste very good." (Which I think is funny) in Empire was replaced on the DVD with the scripted "You're were lucky to get out of there". So I am not surprised people keep finding these pointless changes that Lucas keeps making

I thought the first scene of them shooting at the podracers was funny... weren't the Jawa's another of the DVD additions? Don't seem to remember them as much in that sequence.

With all my questions I guess I need a resource for a scene by scene breakdown of what was added to that damn podrace :lol

Tha Jawa's were always there.

No, the only time you see jawas in the pod race is when the two shout "ooteyni!" As the racers go by. The scene with them trying to scavenge parts of a wreckage was never inserted into any version of the movie itself.
