ST handled Luke, Han, Leia, Lando, C-3PO, R2-D2, Yoda, Palpatine way worse than PT treated Vader, Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, Palpatine, Yoda.

Atleast the Prequel Trilogy didn’t murder the OT characters and piss on their graves. Worse thing they did was present them as annoying little brats.


Also Obi-Wan and Palpatine are their best versions/selves in the PT.

Even the infamous Leia Poppins scene was RJ's way of honoring KK's request to show that Luke had trained her as implied by their conversation in ROTJ. Do I want KK out? Sure I do. But her one documented contribution to the ST, even if ultimately executed in a silly manner, was still her wanting one of the core OT heroes honored and elevated.

I'm sure someone will say "oh that's just because of her feminist agenda" but come on this is Leia we're talking about here. George had big plans for her too.

Yep. Not only did the PT **** on awesome OT characters but George actually retroactively inserted that crap *into* the OT! ST haters are such sissies. At least you guys can easily ignore that trilogy and call it a day. Imagine if the only available OT had smiling Rey appearing at the end or General Hux's voice dubbed over Boba Fett because that's what *we* had to deal with ya bunch of whiners.

I posted a comment a while ago that a PT fan on this board said he never thought of.

The PT was in our minds the end of it all for SW films. We were never gonna get TV shows and more movies. We were stuck with what George did and the changed he made to the OT.

Imagine if Disney after buying SW decided to go back and make SE PT and change the prophecy to be about a young girl born out of darkness and that Anakin was not the chosen one. And that was it.. No more movies after the ST or TV shows. They would be understandably upset.

Now they have TV shows and more movies.. Things to help them get over their frustration with the ST. But some cant handle having a possible Snoke clone show up in Mando

Man if they only knew.

Its taken 20 years for them to finally make Boba Fetts voice change acceptable..

OT Kenobi and Palpy got nothin’ on PT Obi and Sheev.

I can't believe I started my new year with that freaking awesome gift from SWT guy.

He actually put that out there in public.

The Jedi Order Restricted Section is holding Darth Plagueis the wise secrets of immortality.

And I said before that my son and I have been binging the *entire* Saga starting with the PT, taking a break between AOTC and ROTS to watch Tartofsky CW Season 1 and then Filoni TCW, then ROTS, then Rebels, Solo, RO, OT:SE and now we're into Mando again. For the first time in years I decided to bite the bullet and let the OT:SE take the place of theatrical OT if only because ANH:SE featured a Fett cameo and ESB:SE had Mando Fett's voice (<---See what I'm calling it now?? See??? ). Since nothing else from Mando was in ROTJ I asked my son which version he wanted to watch and to my dismay he chose the SE, lol.

So I thought okay fine in for a penny, in for a pound and we watched the ROTJ:SE as well.

When the new musical number was about to start in Jabba's palace I thought aw crap this is gonna ruin it for him but do you know what he said when CG Sy Snootles showed up? "Hey she's like the alien who murdered the purple Hutt in Clone Wars!" And I realized that George's plan with TCW worked, lol. Ah what are you gonna do. Clone Wars, ST, Mando...I can finally just come to terms with the PT and OT:SE, lol.

Was Spielberg also not aware of her devious plan or did he know and kept it fom Lucas as this was going to be his jealous revenge.

KK really sucks at destroying SW since she is still an executive while Mando exists.

Lucas got duped. Far as I can tell Kennedy is awful at everything except for fooling an up-in-years and past his prime/disinterested George. You will have to ask Spielberg if the coffee was any good?

I am not a fan of Palps in ROTS. In fact I borderline hate him in that one. He is not in AOTC as the Emperor enough to really count as an appearance. I would say I like ROTJ and TROS as my 2nd and 3rd fav appearance by him.

I love him so much in TPM.. Its by far his best turn as the character.


I was never an OT fan of Obi Wan.. If they made a show about OT Obi Wan I would not be interested

I am looking forward to Ewan coming back.

Palps is arguably the only good thing from TROS, but its hard not to like him. Palps always steals the scene.

If only Star Wars existed, then Obi-Wan would be cool, but the reveal in Empire and then his logic in Jedi just make him look awful. He essentially groomed Luke. Oh, and he committed suicide.

Had they left this in ROTJ and didn’t have Obi-Wan say the “certain point of view crap”, it would have been better,



But they didn’t.


Yoda is cooler than Obi-Wan in the OT. It makes total sense why Uncle Owen wouldn’t want Luke to go anywhere near Obi-Wan. He was dangerous (and a bit queer).

Compare that to Prequel Obi-Wan. He’s a prick in Episode I, then he’s a smug ****er in Episode II, then he’s humbled by his failure in Episode III. There’s actually character progression there and it’s cool to see that character evolve. About the only saving grace from a writing perspective in the prequels IS Obi-Wan and Palpatine.

Amazing. Every word of what you just said is not wrong.

But I based my decision on words you neglected to mention.

ANH ObiWan: Remember...The Force will be with...Always.

He might have been a jawa humping unreliable story teller but then again look at his life in that messed up Order and this was the guy who left his best friend that he supposedly loved limbless and on fire for christs sake and you expected honesty later on as a disgruntled dirty old hermet perv lol

ANH ObiWan was instrumental in helping Luke ultimately succeed by yes trick mentoring him but also force awakening him for making up for his old sins of letting Vader live.

Ughh just keep ObiWan ROTJ out of this lol

PT ObiWan is not bad by any means and has some great character building scenes and I love Ewan but his accomplishments were far less than from ANH they just were he didn't even kill Anakin out of pity even though he knew Anakin killed kids and strangled a pregnant woman!

He beat GG woop di doo lol

Ughh GG is such a piss poor character in the PT.

He was awesome in that original cartoon.

UNLIMITED POWAAAAAAAA!!!!! He went from a manipulative, conniving Senator....to full on mustache twirling (and other twirling) super villain.

Oh the horror.

The Palps of the ST , while still visually cool, was back to the Palps of the OT , using mostly manipulation and uber force powers to get the job done.

No lightsaber nonsense against Yoda whom should never have used a lightsaber anyway.

I remember hearing about a possible Yoda / Palps duel before ROTS, and talking with friends about this epic force powers battle.

We got just a tiny bit of it when Palps starts throwing senate seats at Yoda. What we should have gotten was a much more creative fight without sabers and only force powers.
