I cannot take PT Palps seriously after he utters the words......

UNLIMITED POWAAAAAAAA!!!!! He went from a manipulative, conniving Senator....to full on mustache twirling (and other twirling) super villain.

My little green friend........

Oh the horror.

The Palps of the ST , while still visually cool, was back to the Palps of the OT , using mostly manipulation and uber force powers to get the job done.

No lightsaber nonsense against Yoda whom should never have used a lightsaber anyway.

I remember hearing about a possible Yoda / Palps duel before ROTS, and talking with friends about this epic force powers battle.

We got just a tiny bit of it when Palps starts throwing senate seats at Yoda. What we should have gotten was a much more creative fight without sabers and only force powers.

I'll take Unlimited Power over that old man ROTS twirl any day of the week lol

Oh, and he committed suicide.

Ok Question..

obi wan just disappears in ANH.. He does not get sliced and die and then become one with the force. Its like he disappears before Vader ever hits him.

So did he actually get struck down by Vader or did he at that very moment allow himself to become one with the force?

I always thought scene was a little weird. I mean there was no sequels and no PT. Vader seemed confused by what was going on.

Fast forward to ROTJ and Yoda dissolves into the force. Vader dies but later becomes one with the force..

So does Obi Wan die right before Vader hits him or do we think that any jedi that knows how to become one with the force would just disappear as soon as they died.

If I take the PT lore and say that its something that they have to teach themselves then who taught Vader / Anakin?

I like Palpatine’s enthusiasm in Revenge of the Sith.

You’d be giddy too if your two decade long plan was finally paying off. He knew once he got rid of Windu and ensnared Anakin that he could essentially do whatever he wanted. It’s not out of character with how he was portrayed in ROTJ. I mean, you even hear him laughing like a retard up in his throne when Vader ****s Luke’s **** up. That glee is always in him. We saw Ian Mcdiarmid play the subdued and plotting Palpatine for 3 films, it was fun seeing him let loose by ROTS’ third act. I haven’t seen the prequels in a while, but I always liked when he’s ********ting to everyone in the senate how the Jedi scarred and deformed him. He’s just so manipulative and full of ****. I dig his hatred for the Jedi and Yoda in particular. Give the dude a break, he finally got his revenge after 22 years.

Only thing I thought was a mistake was giving him a lightsaber. Same with Yoda. I never liked that or the flipping. The battle in the senate is cool when they’re just using the force. That was enough.

I don’t know man.

The appeal of Star Wars, for me, was never the space wizards.

I figure they made him disappear because it was a kid’s film and having Vader decapitate or slice him in two would have been too violent. Should have done it anyway. Payback for maiming poor Walrus Man.

I'm just happy that DiFabio is here discussing rinse and repeat Star Wars with us instead of being some grumpy old isolated hermit perv.

Must have the Rona like me and quarantined and bored lol

Or maybe he is on the payroll of Doomcock err I mean SWT guy.

There has been a forum awakening have you felt it.

Oh I figure that is why also.. Just asking for anyone out there that might know what the logic is now :)

'Memba the build-up to the Emperor in the OT? We didn't even see him in the flesh till the third film, and even then there was a build-up with "The Emperor is coming here?" and an official reception that put Vader's to shame.

Do you guys think Palpatine banged these dudes?

That’s the only purpose I could think of that they could possibly serve. Galactic pool parties, Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey style. That’s why he was trying to get Luke. Vader was too old and used up for them at this point. Too bad Ben and Yoda got to him first.

Jabba the Hutt had a hotter entourage IMO. It’s a shame Leia killed him. Being Jabba’s slave girl dancer is a better fate than becoming a politician that somehow dies by force calling her son. In a different universe, she could have been happy, like Yarna.

The dude on the left has a phallic head the dude on the right looks jealous lol

But those guys are not fit to even be the doormen on Exegol.

Sith cultist elitist material they are not lol

No death....it?s a merging with the force. Obi begins to concentrate right before he is struck. At that moment he disappears to merge without the force like Yoda. Yoda does not actually die at that moment either, he merges with the force and basically add his conscience to the living force.

There is a great episode of Clone Wars that explains it.

You CAN die and become one with the force as well, or basically just leave this plain of existence to join it at well. Some might consider that Suicide, depending greatly on your own point of view.......

I totally agree. That speech is once again, the manipulative Palps that I believe made the character.....

His crazy laugh , although enjoyable, pales in comparison to the more subtle manipulative lines......

?Wipe then out?

?The dark side leads to many abilities some considered to be ......unnatural.?

?you killed her in your anger?

?I am afraid the shield will be quite operational when you friends arrive....?

?You want this??

Ok.. So they have explained that in other stories. I was wondering..

I figured when the film first came out it was more like Difabio said.. A PG rated death..

But I figured it had to have had a better explanation since then.

:lol at this whole post :lol

Awesome!

37 years to become aware of AV-6R7, a background Imperial droid that I never knew existed. Crazy.

It might have been cool to use that design for K2-SO since it was a bit weird that his model was everywhere in RO but nowhere in the OT. Though for all intents and purposes that guy was pretty much non-existent in the OT as well, lol.

First for me as well so damn dark

Surprised Lucas didn't replace them with a goofy rabbit.

Hey jye, you know what that droid is doing there, right? That's the one Vader tasked with cracking the code to access the restricted section of the Jedi teachings.

BTW, I'm not sure I can log in to this place much more cuz your sig is making me cry from laughing. Holy crap!!! :rotfl

And when that's not getting me, your avatar is. :bow
