Saw the rumor that it might become a Mandalorian park. I would go if they removed all of the ST trash.

Same. I bet attendance and sales would spike.

There is also a new rumor that Favreau might be bringing RDJ into the fold, possibly to play Thrawn. This would surprise me but it's certainly not impossible.

I still believe they are setting up a new trilogy using Mando as the jumping off point. All the main characters are there. The story is moving towards that direction... RDJ doesn?t really do TV either... so RDJ for a three movie deal playing freakin Thrawn would be great.

Also today Disney dropped an awful new animated High Republic trailer that looked like it had a $65 budget and was made by a six year old with a box of crayons

Yeah, it looks awful. No idea who decided the dialogue on that either. Not Star Warsy at all. It?s funny, this brand new threat to the galaxy and ?the force itself? is something we should have seen in the ST.

As for The High Republic, I did just go watch that trailer and yep that was indeed as awful I was anticipating. What a joke, lol.

By that logic Luke's character was defined by his abuse at the hands of a mysterious-murdering-but-there's-still-good-in-him-psycho-parent who was willing to corrupt his own daughter after failing to corrupt his own son.

I kinda think they are going to do the Disney plus thing with the four shows concurrently running and all loosely tying into one another. Then when they get to the end of all four shows they finish the stories with a movie or possibly two a la Infinity War/Endgame. This is just my best guess.

Maybe a Grogu led trilogy after the conclusion if all goes well???

The OT has all kinds of issues, but that?s not equivalent to the Rey situation.

I see Disney pitching her and their film as progressive and feminist when it?s not.

Don?t get me wrong, I can see that she?s not in the kitchen making the guys space sandwiches, but my assertion that they were lazy and predictable and entangled her with an abusive dude shows a lack of respect for any real progress.

And for some reason people keep forgetting that I think Vader?s ?redemption? was stupid too, because that?s the first counter I get when I bring up that rat-bastard Kylo. The OT is not sacred.

These are all just jumped up swords and sorcery flicks with some genre-bending thrown in. Some are better than others, or at the very least, more *sincere* than others.

You get rattled when people talk about the PT and just as rattled when people discuss the ST. I think you might just need to find your own safe space away from Star Wars talk altogether.

You definitely need time away. Maybe stop having the PT live in your head rent free.

Also take jye with you. Maybe you two can finally get some much needed sleep. I feel like on Christmas morning while your kids were opening gifts you were on here with jye talking about how Luke drinking titty milk should be nominated for an Oscar cause it moved you.

No kidding. Why go out of their way to deny visitors the opportunity to enjoy 90% of SW?

Imagine if the main park at Disneyland or Magic Kingdom at Disney World was *nothing* but Cinderella themed rides and characters. Even if that was your favorite Disney movie that'd be dumb, dumb, dumb.

They had it perfect with Star Wars Weekends with characters from all the movies and shows walking around.

Well it?s not entirely new ST stuff. Spoiler warning ....

The rides that feature motion to film type thrills visit lots of worlds. In Smugglers Run, you visit PT, ST and OT worlds.

It?s a flash of seconds in some instances.
