I don't know where you get your information, laser brain.

It was in the Making of Star Wars, of course Luke wasn't always the main character, but it was always originally about a brother and sister.

I like how you blatantly ignored the question as to why it was cut out in the first place.

Id buy that Lucas came up with the Leia= sister idea during post-production of ESB (thought admittedly I would have to do more research on that specific scene to find out why it was deleted).

I just disagree with the theory that it was planned since the beginning. And the fact that the scene was shot in the first place is pretty good evidence for that.

Yep, the nerdraging on the topic had gone on for weeks with no clear cut answer, although Khev did make his sound like the most scientific reasoning. I think he makes flowcharts of this **** at home.

Also, yes that picture is just a promotional photo from a scene not included in the film. But if the secret plan which you know all along is that these two characters are siblings, why would you possibly take it in the first place?

Why was Talia al Gul named Miranda Tate in all the TDKR publicity? Why was RotJ called Blue Harvest? It was done to throw people off from finding out Leia was going to fall in love with Han.

The Star Wars by George Lucas is the original draft script that ultimately became ANH, in it Kane Starkiller has 2 kids, Deak and Annikin. Through various stages things got switched around, but once the kids became a boy and a girl it stayed that way. Then there was the stage when the "Princess" was the one chosen to become a Jedi like their dead father, but it was switched back to Luke and from there on the sister disappeared until on set discussions during the final weeks of principal photography in Empire.

Then there was the stage when the "Princess" was the one chosen to become a Jedi like their dead father, but it was switched back to Luke and from there on the sister disappeared until on set discussions during the final weeks of principal photography in Empire.

Yeah.. Uncle George talks about all that on the fourth special features bonus disc, that came with the 2004 OT DVD box set.

At one stage, Luke & his crew were all going to be little people.

I guess that's what spawned the idea for Willow to an extent.

Yep, and as the story evolved Anakin became the dad instead of the son and Leia became the sister instead of the romantic interest of the son. As you prove it wasn't that way from the beginning and as Gary Kurtz said Leia wasn't the "sister" until ROTJ.

I wonder if in Episode VII they'll reveal Han Solo to be a changling and his true form will be a big giant frog creature. Then people can claim that that's what he really was all through the OT because he appeared that way in early story notes and concept art.

Hopefully its something exciting. I must admit that my anticipation for Ep VII is greatly diminished in the wake of Hobbit Part II and III.
