ok, since this is inevitable, here is my list of fav to least:

ANH, ESB, TFA-ROTJ (tie), Revenge of the Sith, Attack of the Clones .................................................................................................................................lastly, The Phantom Menace (a terrible film overall).

Snoke, to me, was fine. Voice work on him was great and his look seems about what I would have expected.....

SW/ESB tied > ROTJ > TFA > Hit by a bus > TPM > ROTS > AOTC

Swap ANH and ESB and that's pretty much my order too, though it's more of a three-way tie between III, VI and VII.

Jye, the guy from Finland (you know who you are) and Auel..... you guys gonna complain for ten years about this like the PT haters?

Dude...don't pretend to be interested in genuine debates with people and then troll them like this. Do one thing or the other.

JEDI was directed by a journeyman whose only resume point was not being a member of the DGA. I blame Lucas for that more than any failings of the PT, including JarJar Binks. I've come to appreciate the scenes with Luke, Vader and the Emperor, but feel most of the film was flat.

While not the disaster that were the PT, still disappointing.

I have been punched in the balls in 99 and now in 2015.

When CF's acting is one of the few positives you know we're in trouble.

First the negatives:

The way the previous 32 years was explained away, Han had a fight with Leia something or other.....wait what. Agreed
Han and Chewie's introduction wasted! Agreed... It was awkward.
Han bumbling about as a smuggler. I really hated the bad smugglers also... Just sort of goofy.
Han's death by a son we never got to know meant nothing, and offensive lol Agree.... Lack of back story hurt this moment.
Leia's force powers never mentioned. Does not bothered me... She could sense Han's death... We know her powers from the other films.Missed opportunity with Han fixing the Falcon with a punch. Not bothered by it... Would have been cool but does not effect my enjoyment of it.
Han using chewies blaster over and over. Funny the first time... Stupid the next... Even the first time was pushing it...
Kylo Ren's tantrums. I can't decide if I like them or hate them... But they were a bit much...
No memorable side characters. Ding Ding Ding!!! yep thought the exact same thing....
The First Order was an embarrassment. Yep agreed!
Hux's speech to his troops was cringe worthy. It was awful.
First Order destruction of planets meant nothing. Yep.... and they must have been living next door to the republic because that did not look like a light speed laser.
Captain Phasma, who? No kidding... What a waste.
Lupita was wasted! Who?? Seriously... Who?
Max Von wasted. Yep...
Snoke's lame ass design. Is that the small little female alien? If So I agree... Did not care for her or the whole cantina scene.
Cgi monster on the loose. The scene itself was a waste of time.. I did not mind the monsters.
Couldn't hear wtf the stormtroopers were saying during some scenes. I could.
Clone explanation made no sense.
Ship to ship battles rang hollow because the First Order sucked so bad. Scene was not that great either... Not very exciting. Nothing memorable.
Resistance command station was horribly forced and useless, zero tension! Yep
Harnessing the power of the sun lol Doc Ock would be proud. :lol
Destruction of First Order planet anti-climatic! Yep.... Whole film was
New music was boring as all hell. Worst score of the entire series... Nothing memorable at all... No great new themes... Anyone could have conducted that...

The very few positives were not enough to save this movie:

Rey
BB8 very well used and adorable, he is NOT a JarJar!
Falcon's escape from Jakku.
C3PO one interaction with Han/Leia. BEST PART OF THE FILM!!!! :)
Lightsaber battle in the snow just as good as Darth Maul battle. Don't agree... In fact Ren may be the worst Sith/Jedi ever... Can't beat a stormtrooper or a person who is ust discovering her force powers. Leia, wut!
Special effects (other than Snooki), like duh.
Yes, seeing Luke still gave me goosebumps.
3D

On the fence about Finn/Poe.

The damn trailers were epic, what happened!

DiFabio was ****ing right, them happy together at the end of ROTJ was THE END!

Jye I put some Bold comments in your spoilers... I agree with you.. It was a let down and overall not a very good film.

Funny... I thought the JJ Abrams Star Trek films felt more like Star Wars and I thought his Star Wars film felt more like a Star Trek show..

I don't know what it was about the film... I thought it felt like made for TV sci fi.. The Cantina scene was so forced and lacked life. It really felt like it belonged on Far Scape / Star Treck the Next Generation or something.

Film completely lacked any stand out action scenes or moments.. Well except for one but I am not sure I like how it was handled.

I really feel (and I can't believe I am saying this) that this film needed just a little bit of Lucas' imagination... Not direction, not story, but his certain something that helps bring Star Wars to life. This film felt lifeless. I appreciate that they used real setting for the planets but they lacked life... Except for the desert planet there were no creatures wondering around.... The planets all felt deserted and lacking life... Nothing about them felt like a Galaxy far far away. All the other SW films did a better job of this..

Was it better then the PT films to me? Yes.. The acting and characters alone saved this film from being in the same category. But it really lacked in having anything memorable or exciting. In all honesty it felt a little like a fan made Star Wars film... It just did not feel like the same Universe to me.

Wow. No offense man, people like you will never be happy with any Star Wars movie unless it is the OT. It seems to me you didn't get what you wanted so you now are complaining about it. Didn't go the way you expected it so you hate it. Here are my thought to your negatives.

The way the previous 32 years was explained away, Han had a fight with Leia something or other.....wait what. - This was easy enough to understand. Leia even said there were pretty good years. After Kylo turned to the darkside they had to deal with the loss of there son in there each way. Many divorces happen with the death of a child. It is VERY EASY to understand and should not be faulted.

Han and Chewie's introduction wasted! - No, not at all. It was the biggest pop in the theater each time I have saw it. It was perfect.

Han bumbling about as a smuggler - Already explained this. After the fall of his son, he went back to the only thing he was ever good at (his words by the way).
Han's death by a son we never got to know meant nothing, and offensive lol - Not at all. You are bashing this movie for the reason I assume you bash the PT. PT explained too much and now this explains too little. I thought it was perfect and made sense. It keeps the mystery of who his son was and how he fell.

Leia's force powers never mentioned. - Wrong. It is heavily implied once again that she felt something wrong with Han and knew, thus showing her force powers. Similar to the Cloud City scene and finding Luke.

Missed opportunity with Han fixing the Falcon with a punch. - That would have been cool, but is suppose to lead into the newer generation. So Rey fixing the Falcon her way was fitting.

Han using chewies blaster over and over. - I agree with this. It is a fair point.

Kylo Ren's tantrums. - Nothing wrong about them. It shows his anger, his delusions, his pain and his confliction.

No memorable side characters. - Hux, Snoke, Poe...

The First Order was an embarrassment. - So building a super weapon in the side of the planet and wiping out five planets and slaughtering citizens is an embarrassment?

Hux's speech to his troops was cringe worthy. - Not really. It was more of a vintage speech, similar to Adolf Hitler speaking points. It worked very well.

First Order destruction of planets meant nothing. - Fair point. Buildup of the new republic should have been shown/told. If you read the visual dictionary it help explains it more and really has an affect thinking back. But, one should not have to read outside material to better emotional connect to a film. I agree.

Captain Phasma, who? - Short screen time. Was never advertised as the main character though. One cool shot and she was perceived as a big bad. It is the fans own fault. They assumed, didn't get it, and hate her now.

Lupita was wasted! - Excellent voice actor. Played the wise mentor role perfectly.

Max Von wasted - had a very important scene. He is a follower of the "Church of the Force"

Snoke's lame ass design. - Personal opinion. I thought it was awesome.

Cgi monster on the loose. - Better than the flying into a giant space worm :lol

Couldn't hear wtf the stormtroopers were saying during some scenes. - ummm.... okay.

Clone explanation made no sense. - What clone explanation??? Stormtroopers are all human who were taken from birth and raised to be soldiers. As were the ancient Spartans. Ties back to history is why I love this movie. Finn explained this all. Very easy to follow.

Ship to ship battles rang hollow because the First Order sucked so bad. - Just like in the OT. It was basically the same. Your complaints can go right back to the OT. I find them invalid.

Resistance command station was horribly forced and useless, zero tension! - Personal opinion

Harnessing the power of the sun lol Doc Ock would be proud. - Nothing wrong with it.

Destruction of First Order planet anti-climatic! - I thought it was good.

New music was boring as all hell. - Personal opinion

Sorry you didn't like it. You seemed pretty excited about it.

Just before you get to me WWE :) I had no expectations... I really was not even that pumped for it.. I saw that Jye was let down (I did not read the spoilers) and had myself even more prepared to be let down.... I was let down even more... the film had some good characters and acting.. I like Ren, Fin, Rey and Poe.... So it has that going for it in the future... but the film itself laid an egg for me. I just felt it lacked the fun and excitement of the OT as hard as it tried to be like it.. It also lacked the sense of wonder for me... Oh well :(

Glad you enjoyed it...

I hope we get some better films down the road...

^ Well, they don't have to like it.

I know they don't have to like this.

Dude...don't pretend to be interested in genuine debates with people and then troll them like this. Do one thing or the other.

I am not sure I was "pretending to be interested in genuine debates with people" because I actually am interested.... Not trolling either.... was a genuine question.... geez :lol

Edit: I should have worded it, what will be easier to get over, TFA or PT. I guess my reply did come off a bit like an ***. I apologize.

SW/ESB tied > ROTJ > TFA > Hit by a bus > TPM > ROTS > AOTC

Star Wars - 10 out of 10
Empire (these are my second and third fav film of all time behind JAWS) - 10 out of 10
Jedi - 8 out of 10

The Force Awakens - 6 out of 10

The Phantom Menace - 5 out of 10
Revenge of the Sith - 4 out of 10

Attack of the Clones - 2 out of 10

After watching TFA I don't get how people can say Jurassic World was good!! I also wonder if there will be huge bonfires across city over the world of people burning their PT movies.

Sorry you didn't like it Jaws. If you really want me to I will have to reply to you at a later date. Laptop is getting fixed and I know from prior conversations we tend to type essays :lol I can't do that on my ipad mini, thumbs cramp up way to easy. Plus I make a lot of typing errors and this thing glitches up in long responses.

I get what you're saying about the "life" on these planets.

Very bland and felt forced, no sense of wonder.

Saw Episode VII today with the comic book club I sponsor and we had a blast! :yess:

I was looking for a "right on man" reaction gif to post in response to Snoopy and came across this familiar gif:

giphy.gif

Now I can't help but feel a touch of sadness at seeing him making a farewell salute. :-(

At least we know why they only showed Phasma walking in all the trailers, that's all she did. :lol

:lol

What a letdown she and Snoke were. Snoke pissed me off so badly, he looked like something out of Zemeckis' BEOWULF.

Ok now I know who Snoke is (name wise).. I hated his design... They went to such pains to have little CG then you get to the Big Bad and you make him CG... and you didn't even need to.. He could have been practical make up effects... Otherwise I liked his voice.
