Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The new Star Trek score was one of the first movie scores I've bought in a while. Thought it was great. With such an iconic and known theme already established for Star Trek, I thought it would be impossible to create a new score fans would like...and I thought it was awesome!

Star Trek Generations had a new score never heard before or since and it was much better than the new one.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Thanks for the official confirmation! :hi5:

You got it...if anybody has any great ideas for the new Star Wars films, let me know. I'm having yogurt with JJ tonight and would be happy to pitch him some ideas.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

So far they have the beginning of the script drafted...first scene is a fight between Old Leia and Old Han...in the middle of it, Leia coughs up a Wookie hairball - which sends Han through the roof!

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

As I said earlier... he's hit or miss... so, not sure how I feel about it...
:(

Hit:
MI:3
MI:4
Super 8
Lost
Fringe

Miss:
Armageddon
Cloverfield
Star Trek

I thought Trevor Rabin did Armageddon and did an excellent job.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

JJ's Star Trek, and I say this as a big Star Trek fan, was the best of all the Star Trek movies. Don't understand the hate for it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Looking forward to it.
As Shmi says "you cannot stop the change"

I cannot believe hardcore fans would want to stick with the past.
Anyone who was either down for writing or directing would not be plausible in MOST fans heads.
Same with the soundtrack.Williams has done what he could, and for nostalgia i understand...but it is time to move on...

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

This is like a college kid citing Wikipedia as his primary resource for his paper :slap :lol

And please keep all these lensflare pics coming. They're too awesome. I'm hoping he tones that look down. Is that how ALL his stuff looks? I've only seen Trek and Super 8.

It's everywhere. On almost every site.

One or two sites, sure. But most film sites?

I'd like a 5 minute short film before the main feature where Jar Jar is beaten by sandpeople and tossed out an airlock.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Or a cameo of Lucas where he falls into the Sarlacc! And the Special Editions blow up!

I'd rather you set me up with him for a casting as a Jedi. I'm moving to Los Angeles soon and have always dreamed of participating in Star Wars. :D

Love what JJ did with the Star Trek reboot. I think he is a great choice for Star Wars too and I look forward to what he delivers. Bad Robot FTW! :rock
