In the SE Jabba keeps saying to Han, "Han me boukee," (Han my boy) over and over. But if you watch ROTJ Jabba tells Luke "Your mind powers will not work on me BOY." But the "Huttese" he speaks does not end the sentence with "boukee." Just another sloppy ass goof by the Special Editions.

I'll be honest. I loved the Jabba scene in the special edition when I first saw it in theaters. I had the Marvel comic movie adaptation and was fascinated by the humanoid alien Jabba featured in that scene within the book ("where was this scene on my original VHS after Han killed Greedo?" "why did he look different from ROTJ", "why is this 'Jabba' guy in this comic"). I didn't know it was a filmed scene with that original actor until I saw a 1997 making of documentary on TV of how ILM created the scene. Then I got the revised comic adaptation and it was full circle. I thought that figure two pack was cool too when I saw it in stores seeing as though I missed out on the original Return of the Jedi line in stores.

That revival was a fun time even though I prefer the original versions (mostly).

And to think I used to have that comic...
Man, I loved it! Must have read it a hundred times.

Remember all the complaints of GL sitting on his butt waiting to be brought drinks while directing and also being surrounded by yes people.

Well, I bet the making of TFA documentary will be full of JJAbrams running his ass around a hot desert dehydrated while constantly being told NO from any person in his vicinity. :lol

Disney knows exactly what they're doing, they ain't messing around. :lol

I have boxes and boxes and boxes of red cards and green cards and .00's and .01's...

And my only genuinely valuable piece is my original Kenner Darth Vader with telescoping lightsaber.

You name it, I had it.

You name it, I broke it. :slap

At least your mom didn't throw them away. My mother threw away all of the SW and all of the Masters of the Universe toys because of some crazy dude saying they were evil or something. Still, she had no trouble buying me Ghostbusters, Rambo, Robocop, TMNT, and Batman toys :lol

I never went that far into it. I never bought multiples of figures unless it was Vader or Fett. I only bought what I considered "cool ones" like that Han Solo in carbonite. The red cards were my favorite.

Remember seeing this for the first time and thinking, "coooooool". C-3PO was hard as **** to find too.

:lol

Always hated the "He-Man" influenced body types of the period. But yes, I was excited as hell. They promoted it like 6 months out. I couldn't wait.

Did you get Fruit Loops Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise? I did and I didn't even eat that ****. :lol

Now here's a Mom story I want to hear more about.

In the early 80's there was a guy saying He-Man, SW, the Smurfs and a bunch of other stuff were evil, and my mother who wasn't very religious thought, I don't want that stuff in my house. She took all his stuff, put them in a bag, and out they went. By the early 80's my brother wasn't into figures anyway, he was more interested in the early 80's "devil" music, heavy metal...ironically, my mom had no problems with that either :dunno :lol
