Dammit, the current OT steelbooks kind of remind me of the 1995 "Faces" THX trilogy.

And then the TFA Kylo Ren Steelbook feels like an extension of those...

*Sigh*

I'm actually contemplating buying the OT Steelbooks from BB, tossing the Special Edition discs and replacing them with my Harmy discs and then getting the TFA Steelbook to have an updated "Faces" set of all four films. Will this OCD never end?

I always wondered why none of the heroes were never on the steel book covers

Not impressed by the BB steelbook- just flat out boring and zero creativity like alot of their steelbooks have had

Yeah same with the Walmart BB 8 cover, not the best choice for a cover exclusive.

yeah figured wal mart would go all out with like 5 different covers and bonus toys..lol
i think all the retailers know they will sell truckloads of these without really needing something good to offer but the idea is to make you buy it from them and not the other guys....

I never thought I'd have restored versions of the original theatrical trilogy at home. I never thought we'd have a fourth awesome Star Wars movie. Sure I'd like awesome looking cases and will definitely purchase the best ones available but honestly, I'm good with the OT + TFA regardless of what package the discs are stored in.

The steel book and BB8 covers feel like double dip versions. Whats lacking is the presentation “WOW” of a first release edition. If anything the original PT DVD’s did it right. I want something like that!!!

Really? I thought those were terrible and definitely worse than the TFA options we have now.

The OT DVD's were even worse:

The second release with the unaltered OT included in the special features were a little better:
