Pixletwin agrees with Nova.

So do I. :(

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Before seeing AOTC I thought Yoda's fighting style would be saber throws and using the force to fly his saber. I pictured him never moving, meditating because nobody could get near him. Instead we got a twirling, bouncing little spaz. There's much room for improvement.

I bet the Yoda movie is aimed at young kids. Like the Tinkerbell films.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Like I said before, by capacity for disappointment with whatever Disney does is almost non-existent. I am hoping that Abrams and whoever else does a good job with Episodes VII-IX but even those won't be a big deal if they fail.

I'll always have the Harmy OT, and possibly even an "official" original OT release from Disney one day.

I can just ignore any dancing frog movies they want crank out in an attempt to milk the license in the meantime.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I gotta say I had enough of Yoda in ESB. While I like the idea that Luke would go back to him in ROTJ it wasn't needed. Plus the puppet routine didn't work as well in ROTJ.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Like it or not Jedi and Lightsaber combata go hand in hand

Agreed, but I envision a more calm, controlled, reactionary style for Yoda. Like Bruce Lee, moving like water around the opponent, not swarming them like a bee-hive. Using singular movements, never moving his body more than absolutely necessary to deliver each fatally precise blow. He would make his opponents look like spastic fools, not himself.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The problem with a Yoda film is that, unless they focus on his earlier years, it will be a rehash of PT and Clone Wars, and I for one do not want to see that...
I'd love to see either a few years before the PT and how he ended up in the council, or, what happened between the PT and OT in Dagobah... though I assume not much... :lol

Uggghh... I love Yoda, but a full film is a hell of a lot of Yoda speak.

Total agreement. Love Yoda but I can not see him in a lead role. Besides, I've always loved the mystery of Yoda. What his race is, why is he the only one of his kind we ever see, what he did for 900 years, the adventures he had gotten into etc. OT Yoda was perfect then overdone and made silly in the PT.

Please let Yoda rest. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I almost expect the story of how Yoda became a Jedi, where we meet his mentor and see his first adventure.

Probably. What does a young Yoda look like? :lol

Ugh, this would be more PT type crap. Like someone said before, I'm tired of the history lessons.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I want to see Yoda as a youngling entering his first battle for the Republic so he can have a new iconic catch phrase.

"Like hover chair racing, this is!" :yess:

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I liked Yoda's fighting style. :dunno

I did too. I really liked Yoda in the PT and how he was handled. I still don't know if I want a full film based on the character but I could be tempted if it looks cool enough.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Honestly and seriously, I'd rather watch 2 hours of OT puppet Yoda sitting around on Dagobah and cracking jokes with swamp bugs than one more second of the CGI whirling dervish prequel garbage.

Gonna have to pass on that idea. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I would actually rather have a non-PT/OT character get a full movie. The story of Darth Bane would be awesome to see.

That's something I'd like to see. Would be something very cool from the EU to come to life.

As a fan of Darth Maul I would love to see a full movie about him but that will never happen.
