Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Just out of curiosity what are you guys hoping to see in the new trilogy that wasn't provided in the previous six films? I get the "continuation of the story" aspect but are you guys hoping to see anything new?

The one thing we didn't get to see in either trilogy were epic battles of dozens of Jedi vs. dozens of Sith/evil Jedi like we saw in the Old Republic trailers. That'd be really cool to see in live-action if they could come up with a good reason for it to happen post-ROTJ.

The arena battle in AOTC was to put it mildly.

OT were made for everyone hence why they still play well with adults.

PT were made for kids only, hence why adults hated them day one.

A logical, well planned and well executed continuation of the "Skywalker" story for the episodes. Though, honestly, I'm more intrigued by the possibility of a KotOR franchise, to get away from the Force whiners and put a fresh spin on SW.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I can do with less jedi, frankly. The OT did just fine where the Jedi were few in number and thus a better mystery.

What I'd love to see in at least 1 episode is a "Hoth-like" risk. The whole snowy landscape was just so different. I don't want them to return to snow, but something similar. Don't want them to turn avatar though and do a Roger Dean album cover. I can't put my finger on what though. Just an unusual landscape. Not beige or tan like AOTC.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Actually, I think the Sith on Hoth sounds intriguing. Maul and Ventress are still alive, after all.

Liking ASM and liking the prequels? Did you just compare the two? ASM > Prequels

:rotfl

Yeah......

Again your idea, let's not go there!

Sorry, but ASM is just as bad if not worse than the prequels.

And I liked them both, despite their flaws.

Something new.

I don't find any movies about a old Luke, Han and Leia very interesting.
