Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The version I heard was Neeson didn't like Lucas as a director. Since Lucas is not directing anymore I think that changes things.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I bought the film, watched it a couple times - then sold it on eBay. :lol

I didn't like it.

The series was easier to enjoy for me though - certainly as far as the episodes I've seen, go.

I've actually gotta give it a proper chance one day, & start from scratch.

the movie is the weakest part. the first season is ok at best, with some good episodes here and there, but all it does is a slow ramm-up to awesome.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I just want to see what has happened since ROTJ and how the galaxy has or hasn't changed. I'd also like to see how the sith have sat in wait and are ready to come back with a vengance.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :panic:

If Disney wants to do a Sith story they should produce some films from the KotOR era.

the movie is the weakest part. the first season is ok at best, with some good episodes here and there, but all it does is a slow ramm-up to awesome.

Can you imagine?

The Qui-Gon / Ani midichlorian scene - plus concil jibberish filler, for 2 & a half hours.. plus some younglings getting ordered around. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I want a Star Wars movie without any Star Wars. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

....

BIGGEST THING I'm hoping from the EU that translates into the new movie, is that the Galactic Empire is in NO WAY a realistic threat.

Within the novels, the Imperial Remnent, as it's called is extremely small, and more or less at peace with the Galactic alliance. An uneasy one, but peace none the less.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The Prequel Trilogy exists as does the Special Edition.

Star Wars has been dead since 1998.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Ahh. I see where you are going with that.

Then technically, by your reckoning, SW has been dead since sometime around 1985

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Kinda. I would say when the SE's came out, there was a great boom in the Star Wars movement. But once they became all you can buy...well.....
