Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I'm pretty sure that Solo is an important guy in the Rebel Alliance/New Republic following the OT, having saved the Galaxy and being married to a princess and all. I'm sure the Millenium Falcon has benefited from that, and will be restored to practically brand new condition, and upgraded out the wazoo.

I don't think Han would've wanted it touched. He seems like that billionaire grease monkey type who regardless of how much money he has, only wants to work on his hot rods with his best friend while appreciating the car's antiqued exterior.

Nobody touches the falcon without han's permission since Bespin. He only trusts a handful of people with it.

Himself,
Leia,
His Daughter Jaina
Wedge Antilles
His Grandaughter Amelia
Artoo

That's it.
Note Lando and his people are not on that list.
i wonder why..

As for his status as a general, Han REsigns his comission as soon as he Can . He Hates the rank, the responsability, and the itchy uniform.

Han is a scoundral and smuggler. He LOVES his freedom, and his ship ( and his family)

He tells the republic they can stuff it most of the time... Leia is usualy with him ( We've given enough of our lives to "the cause" Leave us in peace) Though, they will act as ambassidors IF the stakes are high enough for them personaly.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The Falcon with all of it's bootleg navigation software and illegal hardware modifications would be a hard ship to make mainstream, even in the New Republic. I think Han would either 1) stow it away in case of an emergency 2) make his fortunes in the Outer Rim where there's not as much scrutiny. Two makes more sense.

Han and Leia aren't built to last. He would get sick of Leia's world of politics, treaties, diplomacy, state dinners, blah blah blah... Han's too headstrong to be subjugated to such a life. In spite of what was written in the EU books I think he bailed.

Nah, she treats him like **** and he gets off on it, so like any bad boy who meets a bad girl, he'll go head-over-heels and if there's any dumping to be done, it will be by Leia. :lol

Dude, quit talking like you know how these movies are going to be approached. I understand you have a phd in Expanded Universe Fiction, but you have no idea how any of this stuff, post RotJ, is going to play out. I also understand you like to talk about this stuff - A LOT - so why don't you start a thread about it?

*goes to happy place... breathes deep.... OMMMMMMMMMM*

:exactly::lecture

Yup, Han is such a wimp he even let Greedo shoot first.

Leia has got him wrapped around her finger.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

My gut feeling says that old Leia will be the SW equivalent of KOTCS Marion. Best to just say she aged beautifully and died of natural causes prior to Episode VII. :lecture

Let Han keep his edge.

Might need to do the same for Luke. :rotfl

i don't want to.....but.......i got a bad feeling about this.......:(

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Nah, Chewie wears a mask, any old fart can play that.

They could always have Leia, Luke and Han dressed as Stormtroopers for the entire movie. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I hope that Episode VII features a scene where some people are designing a new smuggling ship and someone shows them a picture of the Millenium Falcon and then they laugh it off as a cheap kids' toy. That would be a great way to convey that all the new ships in the new trilogy are going to be way cooler than anything we've ever seen.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I don't see Fisher or Hamill shedding any weight....

One only has to watch ROTJ to see that Han left his edge in the carbonite with his testies. :lecture:lecture:lecture
