Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

the falcon needs to look the same as the OT the iconic ship, just add more firepower. I do not want to see a fat out of shape jedi master Luke though.

Oh sure, take the one line out of context and make me look like the badguy :lol

It's a general "damn fool" at anyone harboring that viewpoint, not a directed one at you Pix, you know I loves Ya :D

:peace

Serious though, no answer to my question?

I was just funnin. :dance

Serious question:
If it were COMPLETELY up to you, what would you have had happen to them in the past 35ish years of time?

To be honest I have no idea. I am trying to go in with as few expectations as possible. I just wrote a big long answer to this and it was *****. I have no idea what is coming and I think I like it that way... for now. :r2d2line

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

All EU stuff aside - what I imagine happening:

Leia thinks she's already seen the great war of her lifetime. She is cared for by C3PO who's become her closest friend. Leia never became a Jedi but instead helped build the New Republic. She is quite happy to have this as her legacy, but she is completely overwhelmed when a re-assembled Imperial war fleet invades. Her oldest daughter, who became a pupil of Luke, returns to save her mother from the new threat.

Han is a father and quiet guy, he eventually became a licensed merchant and legitimate businessman. He was a partner with Lando for ~20 years but now retired. When war breaks out Han's adult children are completely dumbstruck to see the gunslinger and pilot re-appear. Han knows he can't do this for long. The Falcon is the best chance to keep them safe and Han must teach them his old skills as a smuggler. He must take them to Lando and Chewie on his home world of Corellia.

Luke is ill and knows his days are becoming short. He hopes to have his oldest student ready to take over his responsibilities to the small circle of pupils learning the force from them. Luke has placed the contents of all his Holocrons into R2D2 and entrusted the droid to his friend.

From what I've read, public speaking causes him great anxiety. I think when he appears on talk shows and stuff, he's probably taken some (prescription, I'm assuming) medication to help him relax. Either that or he's just plain nervous and his demeanor in interviews reflects that. I'm terrified of public speaking as well and people have different reactions to the limelight.

Or he could just be high. I've heard he smokes pot somewhat frequently, but I'd rather look at it from my perspective.

It's Called Agoraphobia. He has a borderline crippling case.

It's also one of the reasons he never does stage acting.

Nuts. According to tinyeye that pic was first posted on CNN in 2008. :(

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Yeah, seemed to quick to have lost all that weight. No doubt he's busting his butt though if his friend said that. He's got what? About 4 months until filming? Certainly do-able.

Lots of times the studio will pop for a little facelift work. I bet the jowls are gone by the time they film.
