Man, with the exception of the Arc Troopers "segment," I found the original animated series to be made for crackheads and meth addicts. :lol
Just thought of something to add to my earlier response.. :lol

If you're referring to the awkward style of the 2003 show in general, I dig that actually.

I'm going out on a limb here to make the comparison, but some of the best art out there, was made while flirting with Mary Jane, dancing with Mr Brownstone, & sitting in the sky with Lucy & her diamonds. :google :lol

I'm talking about the whole ADHD nature of the show. It was clearly designed for someone who can't sit in one spot for more than 10 minutes at a time. :lol

Most of the show is pretty much just quiet visual storytelling.

Unlike that crap CGI crap show for crap ******* crap faces.

He's been vocal and understanding about his obsession with lens flares, as well as people's issues with it.

:lol

Seriously though, that's what I meant by awkward. Some of the sequences are extremely hyper, then it calms right down to a whisper.

Bad *** Digest:

When Disney bought Lucasfilm a couple of projects ended up scrapped. There was 1313, the villain-oriented video game. And there was the Star Wars TV show, which would have followed smugglers and gangsters, and which had possibly multiple seasons worth of episodes already written. But that doesn't mean Star Wars will never make it to television, and last week the galaxy far, far away took a step closer to ending up on (probably) ABC.

Last week Marvel's Agents of SHIELD debuted to big numbers - the biggest drama debut numbers in years. It wasn't a great episode (it was super generic, in fact), but what's important is that people wanted to watch it. According to Blue Sky Disney the fact that so many people wanted to watch the show, possibly because it ties into the continuing Marvel movie franchises, made the folks at the Mouse House think that sort of enthusiasm could be generated for a Star Wars show... and they wouldn't even have to make it that good!

According to the site the show they're considering would not be the gangster show that was in development. They would want something lighter, although there's been no decision made on when it would be set. It could be set post-Jedi or be set pre-Phantom Menace, or sometime else completely. Basically they don't have a show right now, but Agents of SHIELD has convinced them they want to have one. And ABC has been hot for one all along.

They're brainstorming now, but it could all come together quite quickly, piggy-backing off 2015's great Star Wars fever. We'll wait and see.

That is ****ing disappointing but I am not surprised. I was looking forward to a potential dark Star Wars TV show.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

As long as its not animation. There's already been more than enough of that now.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I remember a time when there where two Star Trek TV shows AND movies being made, all at the same time. It was enough to burn out my fuse. I've seen ~10 episodes of Voyager and skipped the last few seasons of DS9. I pretty much sat out Enterprise.

I'd hate to see the same thing happen to Star Wars. Disney needs to dial back the SW exposure until the next movie. A new TV show should NOT air before Ep. 7 happens.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I'd actually like to see it run simultaneous to the new movie releases. It would be nice to show whats going on from differing PoVs and could actually carry story between movies. I realize CW already did this, but it did it after the fact.

..& that folks - is the template for the future. :lol

So this is how SW dies.. with thunderous applause from Dizznee. :monkey4

Well then you skipped DS9's best years. The rest, you probably didn't miss much.
