I liked the titles of all three PT movies. They fit right in with the titles of the OT. I own the original Buster Crabbe Flash Gordon serials and the influence is undeniable for all six titles. "Attack of the Clones" is a great mirror for "The Empire Strikes Back" in the same way "Revenge of the Sith" is to "Return of the Jedi." I can see "The Phantom Menace" being mocked and ridiculed but frankly it sounds right at home to me knowing the influence.
I thought it was common knowledge that this new trilogy was being written based on an original story by George Lucas? This isn't news exactly.

I never had a problem with the title 'Revenge of the Sith'. I'm sure I was iffy about 'Phantom Menace' and particularly 'Attack of the Clones'. You get used to them though. I even came to like the name TPM.

Titles were the least of the PT's problems. I wish I could have walked out of any of them and said "Great movie, dumb title" but that's so far from the truth.
