Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Is that your idea, or did you find that somewhere? I was thinking a title, but have no idea...

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

To clarify, I don't think Ford needs to dye his hair for solo. He didn't dye it for Indy and that worked. The earring is clearly a midlife crisis thing he just hasn't given up yet and my point about Jack Skellington stands. :lecture :p

Nam, when I wrote "ageist tools", I wasn't referring to anything you said specifically. Just commenting on the current cultural zeitgeist in general. Agreed on the earring, tho. Ford's far too old to be having a "midlife crisis", unless he's planning on living 140 years.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Ford is one of the people like Sean connery, and Michael J fox. They Don't Age like normal people.

The Ratio is something like 1 Year for every 5-10.

You see, in the 70's and/or the 60's they did JUUUUST the Right amount of the Correct Drugs in the correct Ratios to yield those results.

He should live to the ripe old age of roughly 290-310.

Which, odly enough, is Approx what Hot toys will be charging for his Episode 7 Figure.

:lol I hear ya. I think we're all (including the haters) hoping we're in the same shape at his age. :lecture

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

just saw it myself .. well the main script is done.. hope Arndt did a great job !!

EDIT: if I read correct.. Arndt is out completely without leaving something on the table ??? Does this mean JJ and Larry are writing from scratch ???

that would make me very nervous to be honest !

Wrong: "Michael Arndt has done a terrific job bringing us to this point and we have an amazing filmmaking and design team in place already prepping for production.”

Sounds like he has done work and Kasdan and Abrams will be building on what he did.

puuuuh... thanks for that.. must have missed it .. now I can sleep peacefully tonight ! :)

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Given that Abrams is a reported EU fan... kinda gives me a little more hope.

Arndt walking away at this point makes me feel like they were likely putting too many restrictions on what he could and could not do...

This... makes me more hopeful still.

Curious to see how this develops.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

and, as if there was ANY doubt, but.. still, nice to have it confirmed

John Williams is returning to the series to score the soundtrack.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

yep but they confirmed Williams a while back already.. :)

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Ah. I've been avoiding MOST episode 7 news. too many BS rumors floating around.

my favorites so far being
Justin bieber playing a young luke in a flashback sequence.
Robot Darth Vader Possessed by Anakin's Force-ghost.
Han solo Becomes a Jedi
Han's Dead, Lando Marries Leia
Han's Dead, Chewie Marries Leia

and my personal favorite
Chewie and Lando are a gay interacial couple, whos marriage is officated by Nien Numb .

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I'm so happy with this news. The REAL genius behind Star Wars comes back.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Guessing you mean Lawrence Kasdan ?

I'm... cautiously optimistic.

I'm reminded of how excited people were when Chris Clairmont announced he was coming back to write the X-men in the 90's....

and it was a Giant trainwreck.

Arndt Off STAR WARS VII, Kasdan And Abrams Are The New Writers | Badass Digest
Devin at BAD suggests it's a complete re-write. Check the article above and make your own judgement.

EricVespe: "I've heard from sources that those who read Arndt's EpVII draft thought it was pure Star Wars and fantastic. Apparently Abrams disagreed."

Wasn't the movie supposed to start principal photography in early 2014? But yeah, better late than a rushed film.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

considering the last few pages the discussion has revolved around Ford's use of hair color, i am just happy there is news...

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

think its awesome Kasdan is back, worked as co writer, The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Star Wars Return of the Jedi.:)
