Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

He has been MIA from pictures lately. Usually the ones people link are from a couple years ago or early 2013.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

are there any pics of hamill at present? Anyone know if he has been able to lose any weight?

He's certainly dropped off the map... I think that's a good sign.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Yeah, me as well. Fact he is MIA kinda makes me wonder if Disney is being very protective of him. Personally, I think he has it in him to be the fully badass older Jedi Master we all want him to be!

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

If you ever saw those making of vids with Hamill doing sword-fight training for Empire or Jedi he was super-fast, every bit as good as McGregor or Christensen - only having to work with a guy in a Darth Vader helmet and floor length cape forced him to be slower and more amateur looking.

"In time you will learn to use it as i have"

I wonder if they'll have Carrie all Jedi-ish, or more of a politics role!

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

we are all behind Mark to get super fit and strong-athletic for this...no more burgers.

"As for the next Star Wars film, Fisher says she, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are expected to report to work in March or April. "I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again — but with white hair," she says. "I think that would be funny."

I think she could balance both roles. This isn't the Old Order. It'd make sense if Luke did things differently. Jedi getting married, having kids, Jedi being involved in political and/or military roles, etc. It would be a stark contrast from the PT and certainly more interesting than the huge laundry list of rules Jedi have to follow....

I wouldn't mind seeing the return of the buns. She only sported that look once. I also am hoping to see them close to their natural hair color as well. No dying please. At least no dying to get rid of all the white or gray.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

*sigh* Oh if only they could just remove the PT from canon as they will some of the EU.

A thought... how about RE-doing the PT, instead? Or a Re-edit?

the OT got a "special, Definitive edition" why not the PT?

Do you mean Harmy? Yeah I guess he could go over the PT. But then we'd have one disc of nothing but Darth Maul, another disc of nothing but Arena Padme, and a third movie comprised of nothing but that cool scene where Anakin hears Palpatine's voice from the Jedi Council Room.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Someone has redone the PT and it is pretty good. I forget what the name is...

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

If I had my way (although it's my fave of the three) TPM would be at least 45mins shorter.

The great Jamaican duck-rabbit-lizard purge would be first on the agenda, followed by flying blue pigmy Tapirs.

Next - I'd ixnay the martians with the Italian accents, then send all the looney tunes home on their little junk go-karts.

Lastly, the lil tacker.. Annie? I'd drop him into a pool of Midi-chlorinated blue milk.

If he sinks, the force was never that strong with him.. :lol

I just hope there are no direct references. I've already deleted the PT from existence in my mind. I don't own the PT and I don't buy any of the PT Black figures. If people like it, let them have it. Just like the EU. If people like it, let them have it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

phantom edit did a pretty solid job. make the aliens all speak their alien langues and subtitle ALL of them. Jar-jar included.
Cut the podrace down to just 1 lap, and runs a total of only 5 min, as opposed to 20.
and trim some of the.... bad dialogue.
